Story
Meet Coco, a resilient and loving 9-year-old Rottweiler with a heart as big as her spirit. Despite living with Masticatory Muscle Myositis, an immune system disorder that affects her jaw muscles, Coco remains a joyful and athletic companion. This condition means she can’t open her mouth all the way, so she’s on a special home-cooked diet rich in meat and eggs to keep her strength up and takes a daily pill to manage her condition. Coco adores her walks and can be a bit of a puller on the leash if she spots another dog, but she’s always great with people. She’s super athletic and enjoys her time outdoors. Although she can’t play with toys or chew on treats due to her condition, she loves liquid treats and is happy and content in the car. A total sweetheart with a loving demeanor, Coco is also fine being left alone for periods. She’s looking for a compassionate home where she can continue to thrive and enjoy her walks, special meals, and the affection she so generously gives. If you’re ready to provide a warm and understanding environment, Coco will repay you with endless love and loyalty.

Story
Meet Thalia Breed: Rottweiler / Terrier mix Sex: Female Birthday: 7/25/2022 Weight: 45 pounds Health: Healthy and spayed Personality Thalia is a sweet, affectionate, and friendly girl who’s always happy to be near her people. She’s calm indoors, playful outside, and truly enjoys being part of a loving routine. Her expressive eyes and gentle nature win hearts everywhere she goes. Why Thalia Would Be a Great Adoption Choice Thalia is the best of both worlds — loyal and loving with just the right touch of playfulness. She’s past the high-energy puppy stage but still has plenty of joy to share. Whether you're looking for a steady walking buddy or a cuddle companion, Thalia is your girl. Breed Info Rottweilers are known for their strength, loyalty, and intelligence. Terrier mixes bring spunk and charm. Thalia is a beautiful mix of these traits — smart, stable, affectionate, and just the right size for most homes. Owner Responsibilities Provide daily companionship, walks, and structure Continue positive training and encouragement Maintain a healthy diet and veterinary care Offer mental stimulation and a loving home &#226&#157&#151Things to Consider  Will you allow time for your new dog to adjust to their new environment, routine, and family? Can you afford the financial responsibility of a dog — including food, vet care, preventatives, and grooming? Does your housing allow dogs, and are there any breed or size restrictions? Does anyone in your household have allergies to pets? Do you have the time, energy, and commitment to provide daily care, exercise, and affection for the next 10–15 years? These dogs are not to be chained or left outside. Each one deserves to live indoors with love, safety, and companionship. Commitment for Life Thalia is looking for her forever person — someone who won’t give up on her, no matter what. She’s ready to give endless love, but needs the same in return. This is a lifetime bond, a promise to care for her through every season of life. She’ll be your loyal friend, always. Story
Meet Boogie! A lovable seven-and-a-half-year-old Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix currently living in Redwood City, CA, whose heart is as big as his 83-pound frame and whose sleek black coat shines brightest under the sun. Boogie was rescued just as the new year dawned, and ever since, he's been making up for lost time by soaking in every bit of joy life has to offer, especially if it involves lounging in the dirt after a playful run! This gentle guy is all about balance. He’ll happily curl up for a cozy nap, yet he perks right up when it’s time for a sniff-filled stroll or a quick game of fetch (though, fair warning, he might just bring the toy back for you to hold while he chews it). Boogie’s a sucker for antlers, dirt patches, and the simple pleasure of a good outdoor adventure! He knows a few classic commands like “sit,” “down,” and “stay,” and he’s working hard with a trainer to manage his leash reactivity. While Boogie has gotten along with certain dogs in foster care, he prefers to keep his social circle small. Boogie has a big heart especially for his best friend, Baby. If you're considering a dynamic duo, Boogie and Baby would love nothing more than to find a home together, where they can continue their beautiful bond. A calm, pet-free home without small children would be the perfect environment for Boogie to thrive. On the health front, Boogie needs a bit of extra TLC. He manages skin allergies with the help of medicated baths and visits to a dermatologist. But don’t let that intimidate you, he’s a cooperative guy who just needs a caring routine and a guardian who understands his needs. Could you be the compassionate, outdoorsy family Boogie is dreaming of? If your heart is ready for a meaningful journey with one unforgettable dog reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Story
Pumpkin is an absolute sweetheart who was rescued from south LA. She was completely shut down when we discovered her and she has blossomed back into her loving self after a month of training. She is a 1.5 year-old petite rottweiler who plays well with other dogs of all sizes. She has a calm temperament, walks great on a leash, and is crate trained. She is timid and is best suited in a household with another dog and calm older kids to allow her to come out of her shell.

Story
This handsome Boxer/Pit mix is turning 3 years old on January 25, 2026, and at 80 lbs of pure love, he’s ready to find his perfect forever home. Moose is truly a people dog—deeply loyal, affectionate, and happiest when he’s right by your side. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who loves to snuggle, this sweet boy is your match. At home, he is calm, gentle, and loving. He is fully house trained and crate trained, making him an easy addition to a structured home. While he’s confident and relaxed indoors, the outside world can still feel a little scary for him. He’s a sensitive soul who needs confidence-building, but with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, he is going to absolutely thrive. He does get excited to meet other dogs in the home, but can feel overwhelmed with dogs out in public. He also gets a jealous when sharing attention, so he would do best as the only dog in the home, or with an experienced owner who understands these possessive behaviors and is committed to continued training. He is wonderful with adults, though new people meeting him should of course go slowly. We have not seen him around kids. He does need daily exercise and enrichment, which will not only keep him happy and healthy—but will also help build his confidence even more, to aid in stopping the possessive behaviors. This boy has so much love to give and just needs the right person to help him blossom into the confident, happy dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adore you endlessly, he might just be your perfect match. ❤️
