Story
Meet Tyson! Tyson is a high-energy, sweet pup who loves running, playing, hiking, and snuggling with his people. He needs an active family, and a large yard preferred. He does well with people of all ages but due to his tendency to jump on people, a home with older children is preferred. He does well with dogs both big and small but does not do well with cats or other small animals. He knows basic commands and has decent leash manners. Crate trained & potty trained. ***************************************************************  Interested in adopting this pet? Story
Meet Adoptable Obi! Obi would be a handsome complement to his future family. He’s a sweet and goofy boy looking for his forever home to make his people laugh. He needs someone who is confident, looking to get involved, showing him the boundaries, and defining the expectations. Obi is a powerful dog in mind and spirit and will demonstrate his intelligence if an assertive pack leader provides him with guidance and the needed, positive assurance and reinforcement. Obi is a Good Boy wanting to please his human and loves clowning around and working for treats.   Obi, like many children, will put it to the test and see what’s allowed, if he can make more decisions on his own. His pack leader will help Obi navigate these decisions, so he feels comfortable while facing certain situations such as dealing with other dogs or door rushing. Energy control and responsiveness is on the forefront as Obi learns the dynamics of his new relationships and proper introductions - it gets better with every encounter when the pack leader understands his beautiful personality and temperament, staying mindful of guiding Obi to be his very best with people or dogs in social settings. He does well with other dog introductions when given enough time to know them, but the most guidance needed will be when meeting dominant or stressed dogs, particularly other assertive males. If an encounter becomes tense, Obi will easily go into a crate or dog run to rebalance; it serves as a den to calm and adjust him. A few times he was confronted with a dominant male where separation was appropriate, his trainer was able to leash and bring him away without a struggle or argument.     Obi has a transition coach available by appointment to share with his adopter, the key points to structuring a positive outcome. Training may refer to the dog – but you’ll agree that a big benefit is for the pack leader who recognizes how to face the development phases. The lifelong commitment between the two, the human and his/her dog, is dependent on building a solid foundation. If there are other dogs, Obi’s playfulness and adaptability will require skilled management, patience, and enough time for him to integrate the pack. Obi is up to date on his shots, neutered, microchipped, and ready for his special meet & greet day with a potential fur family. Also included in his adoption are two consultations discussing his nutrition and biological balance. Interested in adopting this pet? Meet Storm! She’s a 3 year old Rottie mix, and a real sweetheart. Storm has been a wonderful mama to her puppies, but they’re nearly weaned, so it’s time for her to be pampered. Storm, the puppies, and another large male were dumped in the desert during a violent rain storm, but you’d never know it. This resilient girl is very friendly, affectionate and playful. She walks well on the leash, and loves to explore. Storm is ready to happily-ever-after with her forever family. Storm can’t wait to meet you!Interested in adopting this pet? Meet Adoptable Marni! She’s 8 years old and just wants to find a forever home to spend the rest of her years at after her family moved and left her at the shelter. Interested in adopting this pet? Story
Meet Avia! Sweet Mama Avia is all done being a mom to her 14 adorable pups and is ready to find her forever home. We believe she’s a young Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier mix. Avia is very smart and also a quick learner. She knows sit, lay, and leave it. She also knows her name very well and let’s you know when it’s time to go outside. She’s a huge cuddler and loves to sleep next to her foster mom. She loves playing and chasing balls but not really into bringing them back. She’s super polite and gentle when you hand her treats. She’s a great walker and doesn’t pull on the leash. She does get startled by joggers, bikes and scooters and sometimes barks at them on walks but with a little training that is something she can learn to grow better accustomed to. She’s looking for her forever family to smoother with kisses. ***************************************************************    Interested in adopting this pet?
