Story
Meet Willow, a sweet adult dog who is as independent as she is brave. She's incredibly smart, which shines through in her playful antics and loyal demeanor. Willow thrives in a quiet home environment where she can enjoy her own space and time and would do well with a mature adult person or couple and no young children. She gets along well with cats, but can be selective with her canine companions so being an only dog is an option. Willow is eager to be part of a family again and have her own home, and she is a good watchdog who will alert you if a stranger comes to your home.. Willow lived her first few years with a retired couple and slept in their bed with them. Sadly her daddy became ill and they had to rehome her. Despite her independent spirit, Willow still loves to engage in walks on her leash and other fun activities and to show her affectionate side to those she trusts. She will spend her day on your lap watching tv. She is housetrained and knows how to use a dog door to let herself outside to potty, lay in the sun or play in the water in her kiddie pool. She would make an ideal companion for those seeking a loyal and playful friend. Willow's unique blend of sweetness, friendliness, and independence, coupled with her bravery and loyalty, makes her a wonderful choice for adoption. Adoption fee is $250. Email us at ALPHADOGPETRESCUE@YAHOO.COM and ask for our adoption application.

Story
Stormy Skye: One Tough (and Hilarious) Little Cookie 💙🐾 Born: Approximately July 3, 2026 Breed: Rottweiler/Husky mix (our best guess!) Expected Adult Weight: Approximately 50–60 lbs. Stormy Skye — Stormy for short — had a pretty rough start for such a little girl. She was found all alone at a gas station when she was far too young to be on her own. A Good Samaritan brought her to the shelter, but because she was underage, she wasn't yet eligible for adoption. Then came another setback: Stormy tested positive for parvo. That's when The Comeback Pack stepped in. We rescued Stormy, got her into a loving foster home, and she served her time in isolation while receiving lots of care and attention. We're thrilled to say that Stormy is now testing negative, healthy, happy, and VERY ready to make up for lost time! And boy, is she making up for it. 😂 Stormy is playful, rambunctious, mischievous, fearless, affectionate, and ridiculously fun. She loves people, is great with other dogs, and is playfully curious about cats. She's basically a tiny ball of confidence with absolutely no idea how small she is. We believe Stormy may be a Rottweiler/Husky mix, although with any shelter puppy, it's really just our best guess. She has the adorable face of a Rottie and gorgeous blue Husky-like eyes. We estimate she'll probably be around 50–60 pounds when fully grown. Stormy is still a very young puppy, so her adopter needs to be ready for all the work — and all the fun — that comes with raising one. She'll need patience, consistency, training, socialization, and someone who can show her the ropes. Because of her age, we're looking for a home where someone is home most of the day and able to give her the guidance and attention she needs. Stormy's adoption fee includes her microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, and spay. Her adopter will be required to have her spayed between 4–6 months of age, and we will be very strict about ensuring that requirement is met. Because Stormy still needs vaccine boosters and her spay, preference will be given to qualified adopters in or near Riverside and San Diego Counties so we can make sure she stays on schedule with her remaining veterinary care. Stormy will be ready to go to her forever home this weekend, and we're accepting applications NOW! We absolutely adore this fearless little troublemaker, and we can't wait to see who gets lucky enough to call her family. 💙 Apply to adopt Stormy at thecomebackpack.org.

Story
⚾ Meet Rickey Henderson ⚾ 2 years old • 65 lbs • Rottweiler mix Don't let Rickey's serious face fool you—this boy doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Behind those soulful eyes is a goofy, gentle dog whose tail seems to have only one speed: wagging. Rickey is the perfect mix of playful and well-mannered. He knows basic commands, walks beautifully on a leash, is house trained, crate trained, and has quickly become a favorite everywhere he goes. Sadly, Rickey's story didn't start this way. He arrived at an overcrowded shelter as a stray and spent months watching other dogs leave while he stayed behind. Volunteers and staff loved him, but Rickey had two things working against him. As a black and brindle dog housed in one of the very last kennels on the final row, many visitors never even made it far enough to meet him. Those who did may have mistaken his serious expression for an intimidating personality. Eventually, Rickey ran out of time. When The Comeback Pack got the call, it wasn't because Rickey had finally found a family. It was because he was out of options. We were asked to step in as a last chance—to give this incredible dog the opportunity he never got at the shelter. When we met Rickey, he was a little reserved. After months of watching everyone else get chosen, why would he believe we were there for him? But we were. The moment Rickey walked into his foster home, his comeback began. His tail started wagging... and it hasn't stopped since. The serious expression melted away, revealing the sweetest, happiest, most affectionate boy you could hope to meet. He loves to snuggle, has wonderful house manners, and approaches life with a quiet, gentle confidence that makes everyone fall in love with him. Rickey has done wonderfully with kids over 10, and other dogs, making him an easy addition to almost any family. His name couldn't be more fitting. Named after baseball legend Rickey Henderson—the greatest leadoff hitter and stolen base king of all time—our Rickey has a talent of his own. He may not steal bases, but he steals hearts everywhere he goes. Rickey is a perfect ambassador for The Comeback Pack. He reminds us exactly why second chances matter. We said yes when he had nowhere else to go. Now we're looking for the family who will say yes to him forever. Rickey has made his comeback. Now he's ready to come home.

Story
6yr old intact doberman. I rehomed him 2 years ago but now life has moved me away and I don't have as much time for him. Looking for a home that is able to handle a strong breed and has more time for them. He is very well trained and has been in a board and train at Marvel K9. Off leash trained with muzzle due to being selective with other dogs. Poddy Trained and Kennel Trained. Very sweet and obedient in home.

Story
Meet Bruce 🖤 Some dogs deserve an extra investment in their future. Bruce was already an amazing dog, but because he's a strong, intelligent Malinois mix, we wanted to give both him and his future family every opportunity to succeed. That's the promise we make to all of our Misfits. Bruce has spent the past couple of months in a professional board-and-train program with Beyond the Bark, and he has absolutely thrived. Like most Malinois, he's happiest when his body and brain stay active. Give him daily exercise and mental enrichment, and you'll have one of the sweetest, calmest, most affectionate companions you could ask for. Bruce is about 66 pounds and under 2 years old, loves people, does great with other dogs, is crate trained, and is a world-class couch snuggler after a day of fun. Bruce's story almost ended at an overcrowded shelter after months of being overlooked. Although he was a shelter favorite, he ended up on the euthanasia list simply because space ran out. The Misfit Ranch stepped in just in time, and now he's not just surviving—he's thriving. Bruce has done the work and is ready to bring everything he's learned to his forever home. Bruce will have training that goes with him and his new family. To set him up for continued success, we're looking for a home without cats or very young children, where he can continue building on the incredible foundation he's already been given. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy who also happens to be an expert snuggler, Bruce is ready to be your best friend. 🖤🐾
