Story
Meet Tyson! Tyson is a high-energy, sweet pup who loves running, playing, hiking, and snuggling with his people. He needs an active family, and a large yard preferred. He does well with people of all ages but due to his tendency to jump on people, a home with older children is preferred. He does well with dogs both big and small but does not do well with cats or other small animals. He knows basic commands and has decent leash manners. Crate trained & potty trained. ***************************************************************  Interested in adopting this pet? Story
Meet Adoptable Obi! Obi would be a handsome complement to his future family. He’s a sweet and goofy boy looking for his forever home to make his people laugh. He needs someone who is confident, looking to get involved, showing him the boundaries, and defining the expectations. Obi is a powerful dog in mind and spirit and will demonstrate his intelligence if an assertive pack leader provides him with guidance and the needed, positive assurance and reinforcement. Obi is a Good Boy wanting to please his human and loves clowning around and working for treats.   Obi, like many children, will put it to the test and see what’s allowed, if he can make more decisions on his own. His pack leader will help Obi navigate these decisions, so he feels comfortable while facing certain situations such as dealing with other dogs or door rushing. Energy control and responsiveness is on the forefront as Obi learns the dynamics of his new relationships and proper introductions - it gets better with every encounter when the pack leader understands his beautiful personality and temperament, staying mindful of guiding Obi to be his very best with people or dogs in social settings. He does well with other dog introductions when given enough time to know them, but the most guidance needed will be when meeting dominant or stressed dogs, particularly other assertive males. If an encounter becomes tense, Obi will easily go into a crate or dog run to rebalance; it serves as a den to calm and adjust him. A few times he was confronted with a dominant male where separation was appropriate, his trainer was able to leash and bring him away without a struggle or argument.     Obi has a transition coach available by appointment to share with his adopter, the key points to structuring a positive outcome. Training may refer to the dog – but you’ll agree that a big benefit is for the pack leader who recognizes how to face the development phases. The lifelong commitment between the two, the human and his/her dog, is dependent on building a solid foundation. If there are other dogs, Obi’s playfulness and adaptability will require skilled management, patience, and enough time for him to integrate the pack. Obi is up to date on his shots, neutered, microchipped, and ready for his special meet & greet day with a potential fur family. Also included in his adoption are two consultations discussing his nutrition and biological balance. Interested in adopting this pet? Meet Storm! She’s a 3 year old Rottie mix, and a real sweetheart. Storm has been a wonderful mama to her puppies, but they’re nearly weaned, so it’s time for her to be pampered. Storm, the puppies, and another large male were dumped in the desert during a violent rain storm, but you’d never know it. This resilient girl is very friendly, affectionate and playful. She walks well on the leash, and loves to explore. Storm is ready to happily-ever-after with her forever family. Storm can’t wait to meet you!Interested in adopting this pet? Story
Hi, I'm Sloan! I am about 7.5 years old and 65 lbs., and I’m told I’m such a special guy because I have a fantastic attitude about life, despite my tough start. Before being rescued, it was discovered I had been shot, leaving me blind in one eye. Don’t worry; this doesn't stop me from enjoying life to the fullest! I was also found with stab wounds and was extremely underweight. Despite a hard start, I have come a long way and I am healthy and happy now and looking for my furever home where I can love my people as much as they love me. Everyone says I really deserve that! One thing to know about me is that I LOVE water! I love to play but I do play a little rough, so a home with kids over 12 would be best. I enjoy other dogs if they are calm and respect my space. My dream home would be with a family who is active and likes to take walks, play ball with me, take me swimming or on a hike. Oh, and no cats, please! I can be vocal, but it's because I really like to hear myself talk. If you think I sound like a good fit for your family, please fill out an adoption application today!July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm

Story
Meet Dodger! This handsome Dobie mix is about 6 years old and weighs 70 lbs. Dodger came to us a scared dog after spending over a year and a half at the shelter. He has really shown us what great potential he has. Dodger is learning to be crate trained and loves his walks. He does well on leash and takes corrections with ease. He is still learning not to pull but he catches on quickly as to what his human expects of him. He has been non-reactive passing people and other dogs. Dodger will need a strong leader to give him the guidance and structure he deserves. He would do best with someone who understands the breed or a similar breed. Dodger wants to please so with the right adopter to be patient and show him what a routine and consistency is, he is going to make a great addition to the right family. Looking for a loyal and adventurous companion? Fill out a foster or adoption application today!July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm

Story
Starting with his underbite, adding his goofy morning happy dance, and finally seeing how he sleeps with his tongue out, this 3.5-year-old, 73 pound hunky guy will keep you laughing all day. He loves to hang with and 'help' you as you go about your day. Gleason is looking for an experienced human who can maintain proper structure and boundaries in the home. He's an incredibly good boy when he respects his humans, but if he senses a lack of control, he will push his boundaries. He does well with other dogs as long as he gets a slow, proper introduction. Overall, Gleason is calm and easy-going, totally content to snooze when you are busy, will happily jump in the car, and walks well on leash. Are you giddy for Gleason? We are!July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm
