Meet Jaxx — a smart, loyal dog looking for an experienced home. I got Jaxx during the COVID-19 pandemic after losing my German Shepherd, so he missed early socialization. Even so, he’s incredibly bright and knows Sit, Down, Stand, Heel, and loves games like hide & seek and treat puzzles. He gets along well with my daughter’s tiny 2-year-old Morkie and is calm indoors except for normal excitement at the door. Outside, Jaxx can be reactive and needs someone patient who can guide him. I’m rehoming him because I’m leaving the country, and he deserves the right person who can help him thrive. Jaxx learns fast, bonds deeply, and will be a wonderful companion for someone experienced.

He's fine to just lay and chill all day with his people 2 good walks a day and some play is all this boy needs He needs to stay on a high protein/fat diet to maintain weight Just wants someone to love and give him his best life A note from foster- He is a lovely boy and has done very well! He loves to play and hang out. At bedtime he is happy to run to his crate for his nighttime cookie! He loves to sunbathe in the yard and watch the world go by. He's good with the female dog he is paired with for play. He also loves the water hose!! He goes bananas to get wet. With a simple leave it, he will not chase the water spray. Overall he is going to make someone a wonderful dog! A little patience at first does a world of wonders for him to warm up quickly. We don't know the life he lived but we are showing him the good life is there. Intake story Transfer from a rescue so that we could help him find a forever home as we have experience with this breed. She’s good with kids but tends to knock them over sometimes with her big self as she tries to kiss them (needs training). She likes other dogs and loves to socialize. She doesn’t bite cats but will try to play with them. She would do vey well in a home with attention and love.
