Scarlett is currently staying with a family who is interested in possibly adopting her.   Scarlett is a 1 year old Rottweiler/Chow mix. This beautiful girl is as sweet as she is pretty. Scarlett loves people and enjoys taking walks to smell the flowers! She does pull a little on the leash when she first gets going, but settles down after she gets some energy out! Scarlett came in nursing a puppy who has already found his furever home; now it is Scarlett's turn!Scarlett tested positive for heartworms when she first arrived at the shelter. If she is adopted before she receives treatment, then the adopter will fill out a contract to bring her back for that treatment. If you have any questions about the heartworm treatment, please call and speak to the front desk staff! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. The volunteers have discovered that he is quite smart and knows the following commands: sit, stay, shake, and lay down. Meet handsome Ollie! He ended up at the shelter as a lost boy on 3/13, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. The volunteers describe Ollie as friendly and polite. He sits nicely when asked, and he's been quiet in his kennel since his arrival. Isn't he such a good-looking boy too?! Unfortunately, Ollie has an injured leg that must be seen by a vet. We're not sure what may have happened or what the diagnosis will be, but we know Ollie will be happy to have some relief once it's been addressed. Ollie is approximately 4 years old, and he weighs 71 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption.
