Story
Bluey was given to us, his trainers, because his owner felt he could not devote enough time to him. We had never planned on keeping him, we were going to rehome him. We had an adopter lined up but, this gentleman had another Rottweiler and he was elderly. He changed his mind at the last minute. Bluey grew up with two little girls. He is a most gentle giant. He has entropion. We cannot afford the surgery. We started an gofundme but were unsuccessful. All we want is for him to go to a good home.

Story
Marsha is a possible Rottweiler mix who was found wandering the streets as a stray. At first, she can be a bit shy and unsure of her surroundings, but underneath that initial nervousness is an incredibly sweet, loving girl. When Marsha first came out, she stayed low to the ground with her tail tucked, taking things in carefully. With some gentle pets and reassurance, she quickly warmed up—soon sitting close by, wagging her tail, and asking for more affection. Marsha truly blossoms with kindness and patience. She enjoys being near her handler and often chooses comfort over treats. At one point, she even nudged a treat aside just to rest her head in a hand and soak up some love. While she does have occasional playful bursts (especially chasing a ball!), she’s happiest snuggled in close for calm, gentle pets. Marsha showed interest in other dogs nearby and may enjoy canine companionship, but she was easily redirected and remained focused on her person. She may also be housetrained, as she waited until she was outside to go potty. This beautiful girl could use some weight gain and, most importantly, a gentle, patient home where she can continue building confidence and feeling safe. Marsha is a quiet sweetheart who will thrive with someone willing to go slow and offer her the reassurance she craves. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be close, Marsha may be your perfect match. Notes: Volunteer 12/20/25:Took Marsha out in a side yard today and had a great time. She was nervous coming out of the kennel and needed some time to explore the yard. Once she settled in, I offered her a treat but Marsha told me what she really wanted. She nudged the treat off my hand onto the ground and laid her head in my hand asking for comfort. Marsha really loved pets and staying by her handler. She showed some interest in other dogs in nearby yards but was able to be redirected and back inside with no problem. Marsha seems extremely sweet and interested in someone who can be gentle and patient with her as she regains confidence. Volunteer 12/20/25: Marsha was a shy, sweetheart who seemed to have a lot of interest in meeting other pups. She had some bursts of energy chasing after a ball but mainly snuggled in close for gentle pets. She is a beautiful girl who needs to gain some weight. Possibly housetrained, she waited until we were outside to go poopies. Staff 12/19: Scared but friendly. At first she was tense, keeping low to the floor with tucked tail. After a bunch of fresh pet she was sitting and wagging tail for more. Go slow will warm up for food ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia.
