Story
Diesel loves squirrels and deer. He is a barker if he sees them. He loves attention and balls. Hes great with teenagers but unsure how he is with smaller kids. He is a jumper but will calm down after awhile. He loves walks and dog parks. He is a great guard dog. He is 2 years old. We are moving to a smaller home and it isnt good to have him where we are moving. I am very sad to rehome him but know he can find a great new family. He does get anxiety at times and never has been in a crate. He gets really bad anxiety.

He currently weighs 35lbs and has plenty of time and room to grow! He is a happy go lucky puppy. His new family will need to understand puppy needs (housetraining/leash training). His adoption fee is $135   All Paws and Prayers animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (age appropriate) and are given monthly flea/heartworm prevention.  Adoption fees also include the pet's spay/neuter and microchipping.  The first step in the adoption process is to complete a no-obligation adoption application at www.pawsandprayers.org.     April 24, 2025, 8:41 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Becky is a 2 year old Rottweiler with a heart full of love and a tail that’s always wagging! After finding herself in an overcrowded shelter, Becky was rescued and has since blossomed in her foster home. Now, she’s ready to find her forever family! Becky is a classic velcro dog who adores her humans. Whether it’s snuggling up on the couch or playing a game of fetch (her absolute favorite!), she’s happiest when she’s by your side. Becky also loves to wrestle and run around the yard with her canine foster brothers. Her perfect day? Quality time with her people, play sessions, and plenty of cuddles. Becky has already mastered basic commands like “Sit,” “Down,” “Crate,” “Here,” and “Wait,” and she’s fully potty trained! She would do best with a family who enjoys training and can keep her mind and body active. Becky’s ideal home will have: An active family who can give her plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. A fenced yard where she can run and play safely. Fun and respectful canine siblings to wrestle and play with. Becky hasn’t lived with kids and cats, and her high prey drive makes a cat-free home a must. Becky is friendly, affectionate, and loves everyone she meets. The more she heals and settles, the more her bright and energetic personality shines. If you’re looking for a playful, loving companion who’s eager to be your best friend, Becky is ready to steal your heart. Don’t wait—apply today and give her the forever home she’s been dreaming of!  www.DUdobes.org Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in counties of surrounding states.   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 17, 2025, 7:27 am

Story
Sweet Josie was a hard nut to crack as we had no background on her beyond knowing she lived with 13 other dogs, mostly outside, before a fire forced her owner out. Scared and not well, Josie needed a lifeline. She has been fixed, is wormed and all up to date on shots. She is crate-trained and housebroken. Now the bad news. Josie is heartworm positive, and always will be. At the ripe old age of 9, SOS has chosen to do the slow kill method with her. We fear at her age the traditional method would be too tough on her. And there is always the possibility of not surviving the treatments at her age as they are very painful and hard on the poor dog. We will provide a lifetime of medication for her to continue to keep the disease at bay. Josie is looking for a non-active, low-key retirement home, preferably not with a lot of young children or people activity. Josie has attached herself to the foster like a Velcro dog. Initially, you may need to work through some of her anxiety with activity and strangers. She does enjoy the peace and quiet. Josie doesn't need strenuous exercise. A simple slow walk in the park or up and down a street is all that is needed. Just enough to keep her active, but not any overexertion. The foster has found that these minimal walks help keep her anxiety level low. She walks very calmly on a leash with no pulling, and knows when you stop walking that she should too. She also loves car rides. While walking in the park, Josie ignores other people and could care less about a dog walking past. After being in foster for two months, Josie still has no interest in toys. She has great house manners – no getting up on furniture or counters, and she does not jump on people. Josie has had a hard life before coming to SOS, and it is now her time to lay back and take it easy. If you are looking for a buddy to hang out on the porch on those summer nights, Josie is your girl! Her adoption fee is $50 fully vetted and we will provide a lifetime of heartworm medication for her to continue to keep the disease at bay. Save Ohio Strays does not have a shelter. Story
Say hello to Mowgli!Mowgli is a sensitive 4-year-old Rottweiler/Black Lab mix with a heart of gold. At first, he may be a bit shy and reserved, but give him some time, and you`ll discover a loyal companion who loves nothing more than to snuggle up with his favorite people. His favorite pastime is to get on your lap and pretend he`s a lap dog. Mowgli shows potential with other dogs, but he can be nervous initially, so a slow introduction is required to ensure a good fit. With patience and understanding, Mowgli will thrive in a home that appreciates his gentle nature. He would do best in a home with kids aged 13 and up who can respect his sensitivity and help him feel secure. If you`re looking for a devoted, affectionate, and loving friend, Mowgli is ready to find his forever family. Let`s help this wonderful boy find the loving home he deserves! If Mowgli looks too cute to pass up, Give us a call at 330-487-0333 ext 803 to learn more about him , or stop by the facility at 752 West Portage Trail, 44313
