Meet Minka, She is a 4 year old Rottweiler mix. She came in with Lucy. She also is from the Brunswick pound. She weighs 55 lbs. She is also a little shy and confused. But she just needs a little time to adjust. She will be available for adoption on 4/23/26. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:30PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.

Have you ever wanted a goofy 93 lb. lap dog?? Prince is your guy!! We were finally able to pull Prince from the shelter, thanks to our wonderful fosters!! Prince is a loveable, playful, charming guy who is good with other pups and is fantastic with cats! He is up to date on vaccines & vetting. He was euth listed at a local shelter after a minor bite incident in which he clearly expressed discomfort and his warning signals were ignored. He was a staff/volunteer favorite, while at the shelter. He is with foster parents who are extremely dedicated to setting all of the dogs that they foster up for success, They really work to understand their quirks & work through any issues they might have. Prince is really becoming his best self, and is ready to find his forever family. He is muzzle trained. Prince does prefer a quiet, adult only household. He is somewhat slow to warm up to new people, especially men. If you are patient & give him enough treats and calm slow interactions, he will end up being your best friend.

Meet Matcha aka matcha latte Age: estimated around 1-2 years old. Weight: 40 lbs. Breed: boxer mix. This sweet girl was found abandoned in a car with another dog and was dangerously underweight. Now Matcha is a healthy, medium sized dog and she’s learning what a good life looks like. Even with her rough start to life she’s still a very happy, loving, carefree pup. Matcha loves playing with other dogs and snuggling on the couch (especially under the blanket). She’s obsessed with all toys but anything with a squeaker is her favorite. Toys don’t last long with her so be prepared to clean up fluff but she will leave your shoes/pillows alone. We’re learning that Matcha does have some fear based reactivity when meeting new people but once you earn her trust she’s a total love bug so say goodbye to personal space. She tends to be more fearful of men which leads us to believe she may have previously been abused but if you give her some time, treats or a new toy she’ll eventually be your best friend. Matcha doesn’t love the vet although I can’t say I blame her. Previous appointments have required muzzling, calming meds and mild sedation but it’s possible she could overcome her fears with time. Matcha is crate trained and potty trained but she does think baby gates are her own personal hurdles to jump. Matcha would probably do best in a home with older children due to some of her puppy tendencies and she would like another dog but one isn’t required. If you feel capable of giving Matcha the time, patience and support needed along with a fraction of the love she’ll give you, please fill out an application to meet this sweet girl so she can finally have a loving family of her own.
