Story
Meet Lil Debbie!Lil Debbie is a 3-year-old Rottweiler who weighs about 72 pounds and has a soft, sensitive side to match her strong appearance. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she has time to warm up, she quickly becomes a loyal companion who wants to be right by your side. Lil Debbie would thrive in a home with someone who is familiar with the Rottweiler breed and understands the unique needs and personality of these wonderful dogs.Because Lil Debbie can be a bit reserved at first, she would do best in a home with children 13 years and older who can respect her space and give her time to feel comfortable. With patience and understanding, her sweet and affectionate personality really begins to shine.Lil Debbie has shown potential to live with another dog, as long as they are a good match and introductions are done slowly to help set everyone up for success. At this time, we are unsure how she would do around cats.If you’re looking for a loyal best friend and are willing to give her a little time to settle in and heal, Lil Debbie may be the perfect addition to your family. Stop by today at the Humane Society of Summit County to meet her!

Have you ever wanted a goofy 95 lb. lap dog?? Prince is your guy!! We were finally able to pull Prince from the shelter, thanks to our wonderful fosters!! Prince is a loveable, playful, charming guy who is good with other pups and is fantastic with cats! He is up to date on vaccines & vetting. He was euth listed at a local shelter after a minor bite incident in which he clearly expressed discomfort and his warning signals were ignored. He was a staff/volunteer favorite, while at the shelter. He is with foster parents who are extremely dedicated to setting all of the dogs that they foster up for success, They really work to understand their quirks & work through any issues they might have. Prince is really becoming his best self, and is ready to find his forever family. Prince does prefer a quiet, adult only household.

16 month breeder reclaim(10-7-2024). Big sweetheart. Needs a lot of love, training & socialization. He needs an experienced, ADULT only home- absolutely no children under 16- does awesome with female dogs. He spent 1 wk with our dog trainer helping establish basic obedience(please follow Jami Sue Moses-Phillips on FB for tons of training videos of this beautiful guy). He is a loving, loyal boy who just wants to have his own person. Very smart, very eager. Will be an excellent companion to the proper individual. I just want him to find an outstanding, loving home- one that will allow him to thrive & reach his full potential. Both of his parents are FULLY health tested: hips(excellent & fair) elbows(both normal) heart(both normal) eyes & genetic DNA(both JLPP free). He is AKC registered. Story
Zeus ❤ What a gentleman! Talk about aging like fine wine ❤ Zeus makes you feel like you are his entire world. He knows how to kiss on command. When you say kiss, he licks your face (yeah, may not be a good idea if you have makeup on). At mealtimes, he kisses you to let you know it’s time to get his meals ready. (he likes a little bit of green beans with his kibbles). Zeus can be rude when it comes to affection. He plows into people for affection. Imagine 150lb leaning into you. He also gives paw and the handsomest smiles. When you lay down at night, he comes over and puts his head on your chest for pets and also as if to say, ‘sleep tight, my love’. He always lies next to you when you relax at night and when you fall asleep, he makes his way to his own bed. He sleeps out. He is respectful of the house and everything in it. In the morning, he comes over to lick your nose, an indication that it is time to wakey wakey. If you don’t mind sharing the couch with him, watch out – he is a couch hog. At 150lb. no surprise there! Zeus greets you at the door when you come home. Aren’t these traits enough to make you swoon? Zeus loves toys. He plays with stuffed toys by destroying them. He destroys all stuffed toys except this one purple Rhino. He plays with it and licks it until it is stinky and gross. Zeus knows sit and shake. He takes treats nicely. Here’s a little secret Zeus doesn’t want us to share but we are gonna anyways. Zeus does not like to poop and pee by himself😕 He wants someone to ‘hold his hand’ while he does that. Other Zeus dislike – he hates the trash truck. Zeus is 8 years old, 150lb Rottweiler. He is looking for a quiet home where he can chill and relax with his humans. He is good with girl dogs, selective with boys. *Disclosure - Zeus’ right foot occasionally gets swollen from allergies. He has a fatty tumor under his neck. He does not do well with anesthesia*

Story
HW+, wicked duo, grade 2 heart murmur Glinda is a beautiful 8-year-old Doberman girl was rescued from euthanasia after arriving at a shelter heartworm positive, when the shelter did not have the resources to provide the treatment she desperately needed. Thanks to Doberman Underground Rescue and the dedicated care she received, Glinda has successfully completed her heartworm treatment and is now ready to begin the next chapter of her life — finding a safe, loving forever home where she can truly relax and thrive. When Glinda first arrived in foster care, her shyness and uncertainty were evident. It took her several days to come out of her shell, but even then, you could see in her eyes that she wanted to trust — she just needed time. Once she feels safe, Glinda’s affectionate and loyal personality shines. She happily comes when called, often with her little nub wagging with excitement. She loves being close to her people and will lay next to you on the couch with her head resting gently on your hand or her nose touching you. If you are standing, she is just as content lying or sitting at your feet to stay connected. Ear scratches, neck rubs, and tummy rubs are some of her absolute favorite things. Glinda enjoys spending time outdoors and is always ready to go outside, no matter the weather — snow and cold included! Because she is still regaining strength after heartworm treatment, her activity level is currently limited, but she is doing very well with calmer enrichment activities such as chewing on bones, working on pupsicles, and enjoying mind games inside the home. She enjoys leash walks for potty breaks and sniffing adventures and would likely enjoy longer walks as she continues to rebuild stamina. Glinda would thrive in a home that offers a nice balance between relaxed companionship and outdoor activity. A homebody who also enjoys daily leash walks and safe backyard time would be ideal. She will require a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and play. She shows great interest in neighboring dogs and enjoys fence-line interaction, though she can get excited and eager to chase during play. She is also extremely interested in the scent of a neighbor’s cat shelter, so a cat-free home will be required. Glinda has done well living with the large, male resident Doberman in her foster home. They have settled comfortably together. They stand next to each other, touch noses calmly, and coexist peacefully. Small dogs are not a match.  The resident dog has offered play invitations, which Glinda has shown interest in, but play has been limited due to her heartworm recovery. Glinda can be shy when meeting new people, but she warms up nicely with patience, treats, and gentle affection. Once she feels comfortable, her loving and devoted nature becomes clear. Glinda has overcome so much and is ready to share her heart with a family willing to give her the patience, love, and security she deserves. If you are looking for a loyal companion who will quietly steal your heart and stay by your side, Glinda may be your perfect match. Glinda is available to adopters of all ages.  She is eligible for our Seniors Owning Seniors (SOS) for adopters 70+ with prior Doberman ownership experience.  Visit our website for more information. Story
Meet Moxie, a beautiful 8 month old red girl. Moxie was found as a stray with a severely injured leg. The shelter that took her in did not have the resources to provide the level of medical care she needed, and that’s when they asked Doberman Underground to step in and save her. Despite every effort to repair the damage, her leg could not be saved and amputation was the only option. Moxie has healed incredibly well and now she has no activity restrictions. She runs, plays, and zooms around just like any other young Doberman. Being a tripod has not slowed her down in the slightest. She is a typical 8-month-old Doberman puppy—playful, busy, intelligent, curious, affectionate, and at times a little mischievous. She does have a high prey drive and will require a home with a physically fenced yard where she can safely run and burn off energy. Because of her prey drive, she cannot live with cats or small dogs under 30 pounds. She would do very well with a confident, playful larger canine companion who can match her energy and enjoy active play. As with any young Doberman, Moxie will need training, structure, and consistency. She is still very much a puppy and will thrive with an experienced Doberman owner who understands the importance of leadership, boundaries, and both physical and mental stimulation. With proper guidance, she has all the potential to grow into an exceptional adult companion. Moxie is friendly, loving, and incredibly resilient. She does not see herself as limited in any way, and she is ready to find a forever family who will appreciate her spirit, intelligence, and zest for life. Story
Myra’s story is one of incredible resilience — but what truly defines her is the joyful, loving dog she has become. When Myra first came to us, she had clearly been through more than any dog should experience. Despite that rough start, her spirit never broke. Instead, she showed us just how strong, forgiving, and full of life she truly is. Today, Myra is thriving and embracing everything that comes with finally being able to live like a dog should. Myra is a Doberman / Shepherd mix — the perfect blend of two amazing breeds - with a sprinkle of Golden Retriever for extra sweetness. She has the intelligence, loyalty, and elegance of a Doberman paired with the confidence and versatility of a Shepherd. The result? A smart, affectionate, and engaging young dog who is always ready to be part of whatever her people are doing. This young, active, fun-loving girl is almost a year old now, gaining strength, confidence, and showing more of her personality every day. She’s incredibly friendly, very smart, and eager to learn, which means she’ll do wonderfully with continued training. She’s already just about potty trained and continues to make great progress. One of Myra’s most adorable quirks is her love for stuffies. She absolutely adores her toys — but unlike many dogs, she doesn’t destroy them. Instead, she carefully carries them around like prized possessions. They’re her “babies,” and if you adopt Myra, it’s truly a package deal — she will absolutely be bringing her beloved collection with her. Myra can be sweet and classy one minute, and the life of the party the next. She loves being part of the action and enjoys both playtime and affection with her people. Her joyful energy is contagious, and she has a way of making everyone around her smile. Because she’s still young and full of energy, Myra will do best with a family who is ready to continue her training, provide structure, and give her the exercise and engagement she needs to thrive. In return, she’ll give her family endless loyalty, love, and entertainment.  She needs a yard with a physical fence to provide a safe space for her to run and play.  She's good with larger dogs, but hasn't been around small dogs or cats.  She likely has too much puppy energy for very young children, but older kids would be fine. What Myra wants most is simple: a home where she can keep learning, keep playing, and finally be her family's beloved companion. Myra’s best chapter is just beginning. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, playful young dog who will keep you smiling every day — Myra might just be your girl.  Apply today at www.DUdobes.org   Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in areas of surrounding states.  A full list of the states and specific counties we adopt to is available at the top of our online application.   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 7, 2026, 9:21 pm
