Meet Mongo, our sweet senior rotty who has been in our care since March 2024. He is neutered, fully adoptable, and thriving in his foster home. Mongo is house trained, curious, and still impressively active for his age. He has plenty of puppy like energy and is a total wiggle butt who loves being around his people. Mongo is looking for a home with no other animals, though he has done well with dogs his size or larger. Story
Say Hi to Storm! This young, energetic girl is looking for her forever family! Storm is an almost 2 year old Rottweiler mix. (Weimaraner, GSP, Lab, all the energetic things!) She would do best in an active home that can keep her exercised and stimulated. She loves her people and snuggling up with them, but she is by no means a couch potato. She will need a family who can walk her often and give her time to play in the backyard. Due to her energy level she would be best with older kids (7+) who can appreciate running around with her! Storm is great with other dogs, but has too high of a prey drive to live with cats. Storm is house broken, crate trained, up to date on vaccines, HW negative and on preventions and spayed. If you are interested in adopting Storm please visit our website and complete an application: https://www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables Her adoption fee is $350  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Due to the volume of apps and inquiries, we may not be able to respond to everyone.January 6, 2026, 9:09 am

Story
Charlie just turned 3 years old — a birthday she spent, once again, behind the walls of the shelter she’s called home for almost a year and a half. 🥀She’s a beautiful Rottweiler/Retriever mix with the softest eyes and the sweetest soul… but you’ll have to earn the chance to see that side of her. Charlie struggles with meeting new people — the world hasn’t always been kind to her — but if someone could just give her a few chances, visit her a couple of times, sit quietly nearby and let her heart unfold on its own… they’d find the most loyal, gentle, loving dog waiting underneath the fear. 💔Once she trusts you, she’s pure sunshine — a snuggly, kiss-giving, tail-wagging angel who will follow you anywhere. She walks beautifully on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and loves to stretch her legs running around the yard before curling up in a soft bed or a pile of blankets. She doesn’t care much for toys — she just wants love, safety, and someone to finally stay. 🐾Charlie has done well with some dogs here, but she takes her time getting comfortable — both with people and other pets. She’d do best in a quiet, low-traffic home with no young kids or cats. She’s a staff and volunteer favorite because we’ve seen the real her — the dog that greets you with kisses, melts into your lap, and looks at you like you’re her entire world. 🌙We keep telling her that her person is out there. That someone will see past the nerves and realize what a once-in-a-lifetime dog she truly is. But with every day that passes, she waits a little longer.Maybe you’re the one she’s been waiting for. 🖤More information?
