Story
Hi, my name is Willie. Im a parvo survivor, so Im a lucky guy! Im a mixed breed male, approximately 3 months old. I dont remember my Mom and Dad, so Im not sure what breeds they were. Im told I look similar to a Rottweiler with some pittie, German shepherd or hound mixed in. Im a very happy, active pup. I get along well with other dogs. My favorite activity is running and playing with my foster siblings. I also like to play fetch, play with stuffed toys, and chew bones. I met my foster familys cat. He scared me though, so I barked, but did not chase him. I think we might become friends.Im a snuggler. I love to curl up with my foster Mom in the evening and watch some TV before bed. Mom says I snore, but I dont believe her! Im doing great with pottie training, do well in a crate, and walk on a leash. If youd like to meet me to find out if Im your soulmate, complete the adoption application at ricopetrecovery.org.The adoption fee for me is $350 and includes two sets of vaccines, neuter and microchip when I'm old enough at Rico's partner veterinarian.

Story
Meet Jax, a loyal goofball with a heart as big as his personality! Jax loves his people fiercely and takes his job as your personal protector very seriously. If you’re looking for a dog who will always have your back, Jax is your guy. This handsome boy is strong, smart, and determined. So determined, in fact, that he has managed to squeeze through the safety grid in the back of an SUV just to be closer to his humans! Because of his prey drive, Jax would do best in a home that can keep him safely contained and supervised, and away from small critters.Jax can sometimes forget just how big he is, especially when he’s excited, so we think he’d fit best with kids over 5 years old. He’s still working on keeping all four paws on the ground and could accidentally knock over someone unsteady.Jax is looking for someone who understands his protective nature and will appreciate having such a devoted companion by their side. In return, he’ll give you endless loyalty, love, and plenty of laughs along the way.Bring your kids and dogs to meet Jax and let’s find this boy a family!

Kona arrived as a stray. She is a big girl and loves people. We are guessing her to be 3 pulse years. She is very selective of her doggy friends. She keeps her kennel clean and loves her toys.  If you have interest please stop in during our regular business hours to meet and apply for him. Dogs do not go home the same day as meeting--we review applications first.March 19, 2026, 12:16 am
