They are a bonded pair. We arent sure if they are mother and daughter or sisters. Both girls have been very very scared and have huddled next to each other for comfort. Both girls were surrendered to the shelter severely under weight. They went to boarding for a few weeks to try and help them open up but they both still struggled tremendously. Both girls are now in foster care in homes to help them come out of their shells and see if we can get them to open up and gain their trust. ##1347250##

Meet Mabel the former puppy mill mom. This 7 year old girl lived her life in Amish Country in a kennel used for one reason and one reason only - to pump out puppies. No life for any dog. Mabel came to us filthy and shutdown. She has spent the past month in foster with other dogs and kids. She quickly came out of her shell with them and is proving to be a pretty awesome dog. Mable is crate trained, kid friendly and dog friendly but prefers a more laid back companion. She has seen the cat in the home and has not cared at all. She is house broken also. KENNEL ID #18804 Everyone who sees Cooper thinks he is a Rottie mix, or a Mountain Cur mix so we put that in his bio since anything is possible with mixed breeds. The puppies have started their crate and house training and are picking it up very quickly. These six puppies were an accidental litter born on December 22 during an Eagles game. Their mother looks to have some Australian Shepherd and Retriever in her mix. She escaped the house when the owner's five-year-old forgot to close the gate. She was missing for eight days, so the identity of the father or fathers is unknown. The puppies have been raised around children and other pets, making them very well-socialized. They are currently being fostered in Diane's home and are going through puppy boot camp. They know that if they chase a cat, the cat will correct their mistake. If they jump up and nip at other dogs or people, that is also not acceptable. Adoption Donation: $375 ($75 REFUND with proof of neuter) Thank you for your interest in rescue.
