Story
Roxy is a very loving, obedient fur baby, full of energy and playfulness. I took her in when a friend was not able to care for her anymore back in 2021. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. We have 3 cats and a english retriever. Roxy is very interested in the cats but not aggressive towards them. She just always wants to know what they are doing lol. She is very good friends with our english retriever but she she is definitely the boss of him lol. They play rough but never fought aggressively before so I would say she is good with other large dogs that also are not aggressive. I have never had her around small dogs before so I cant confirm how she is with them. My family is going through a tough financial situation and we are being forced to move to a place we cannot take our animals. I really want Roxy to go to a good loving home that she can spend the rest of her years getting all the love she deserves. She is great with kids as well. My youngest was 4 when we got her.

Story
Current Location: Westminster, MD Hello! My name is Baby Girl! I'm coming to OPH on 3/13. Please check back soon for updates on my personality, and to see adorable new photos. I’m looking for my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab. Let’s get our family started! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: Read more about heartworm disease at https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics

Story
Cheesecake is a beautiful, adult female dog who is loyal, protective, and eager to find a loving home. Cheesecake may be a bit hesitant around new people, but give her time and she will warm up to you. She will need a patient owner who can help continue her training and who can give her the structure and routine she desires. Cheesecake would do best in a home with no other animals. She needs an owner with previous Rottweiler experience, as well, since she carries the typical Rottie 'tude! In order to meet cheesecake, you must be already preapproved and willing to take the time she needs, she is worth every minute!!
