Story
Meet Willa! 🐾 Willa is a 5-year-old Mini Bernedoodle with the sweetest personality you could ask for! We think she may be mixed with another breed because of her adorable short little legs—but don't let them fool you. She does great on a leash and loves going for walks! Willa is looking for a special home with a family who has previous rescue experience, where she can truly thrive. She came to us from a commercial breeder and was previously adopted, but it simply wasn't the right fit for everyone. Now she's hoping to find her forever family. Willa doesn't ask for much, but she does have one important requirement: she must be allowed on the furniture! She is the definition of a couch potato and loves nothing more than curling up beside you, resting her head in your lap while you relax together. She is an excellent house guest. Willa is house-trained, although we always say regression is common in new environments, ignores cats, gets along well with her Golden Retriever sister, and settles nicely in her crate (even if it isn't her favorite place). She would do best in a calm home without young children 12 and under. Willa loves going for walks, so someone who likes to walk at a slow pace would be wonderful since she has to sniff everything! Willa is also a very good car rider! Because Willa is quite the little escape artist, her future family will need to take extra precautions. She should always wear a GPS tracker or similar device, and her home should have secure barriers or a reliable system to prevent her from slipping out the door. A securely fenced yard is a requirement for this gal! Willa is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and more than ready to steal your heart—and your spot on the sofa! She's a calm, gentle, affectionate girl who simply wants a safe place to relax and be loved. Honestly, isn't that what we all want? Willa is currently being fostered in Strasburg, PA. Story
Oreo has become our Starr🌟 This beautiful 3 y/o girl came to us from a commercial breeder and is said to be a minibernadoodle although we recognize the Australian Shepherd similarities 🤷🏻‍♀️ She is about 32 pounds. She began her rescue journey in a foster home where a young girl named her Oreo based on her gorgeous coloring. After about three months, her foster mom recognized that their household was too busy for this baby and she wasn’t progressing as well as she could. Oreo moved to her current foster home where she became our Starr 🌟 Starr has made great strides in the last two months. She walks beautifully on a leash and seems to need her human to lead the way. She enjoys the company of other playful, confident dogs; a confident resident dog/s is required in her forever home to continue to show Starr how to be a well-loved member of the family. Starr recently had a sleepover and met the resident cat; she liked her too. Starr loves stuffies, bones and food😋 It’s just humans where she needs the convincing 🙃 Starr needs a confident pack leader who is calm and steady. She startles at loud noises and quick movements, and so a quieter, less busy home is ideal. While Starr is always close by to her foster mom, and wants to be in the mix, she shies away from direct eye contact and is still learning that humans can be gentle. She is reluctant to be pet but she will allow it, and even seems to enjoy it. She is just apprehensive and needs to be reassured that she is safe. She has the most beautiful, expressive eyes and they will talk to you if you listen 😉💗 Starr is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night. House-training is a work in progress and the safer Starr feels outside, the better she gets. Starr is looking for a quiet home with structure and routine and a family that will allow her to grow at her own pace with gentle encouragement. Starr has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is prescribed medication to alleviate her anxiety which should be continued in her forever home until a doctor says otherwise. She is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County. A meet and greet with all family members, including furry friends, and a home visit are part of the application process. If you’re up for the challenge of winning this girl’s trust and heart, apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Rescue Kennel License 9117 Sinking Spring, PA
