Nico is a sweet, sensitive boy who came from New Mexico, where he lived chained outside for the first years of his life. Since coming into foster care, Nico has become a super snuggly, curious couch potato who loves his people above all else. He is extremely low-maintenance and is comfortable being left alone. He has never been destructive and is completely house-trained! Because of his hard upbringing, Nico is sensitive around his collar and is not comfortable being touched there, nor does he like being kissed on the head or face, but he loves all other kinds of attention! He can also be slightly possessive over his food and toys, but he’s very good about showing when he’s uncomfortable. He has met other dogs outside and done okay, but should still be an only dog. He is also a hard no for cats. Nico needs a home with people who understand his needs, and if you think your living situation is right for him, then you couldn’t find a sweeter, squishier boy to complete your family!

She came to us nearly hairless due to severe neglect. He really loves to lay down at the foot of the bed and spoon with a human which is just maybe one of the most incredible feelings in the world. He’s independent and will check in every once and awhile. He loves to be outside and he loves putting his head in your chest while you cover his head. I’m sure you will discover many other funny things about him. …but really if you wanna make him the happiest tell him it’s time to go on a walk. He will grumble and wag his whole body. Bubba is a quiet dog unless he is alerted to someone at the door. He doesn’t bark with a passerby. Bubba has been around many dogs, but in my opinion, he would be best as a lone dog or with a calm dog that will give him space. Bubba has lived with and done well with cats. She is full of love, joy, and personality, and she has the biggest heart. She forms strong bonds with her people and truly just wants to be close to those she loves. She is a high-energy girl who needs space to run, play, and be herself, so a home with a backyard is very important for her. Kona would do best as the only pet where she can soak up all the love and attention, though a calm, small dog may be okay with the right match and slow introduction - currently has a 1 yr old frenchie brother. She is house trained and crate trained. She would thrive in a home with a family or individual who is home most of the time and can give her the time, exercise, and companionship she needs.
