She came to us nearly hairless due to severe neglect. Over the past three months, with proper care and lots of love, her coat has slowly started to grow back in—but she still has a long road ahead of her. Osito (Oso) is a one-year-old Shar-Pei mix whose name means “little bear,” and it fits him perfectly. He is 100% a little bear—soft, squishy, and an absolute mush ball at heart. Meet Osito, aka Oso, truly lives up to his name—he’s a little bear with the gentlest soul. Oso is incredibly kind and loving, and he absolutely adores other dogs. Having a canine companion is a must for him, as he feels most secure and confident when another dog is around. With a dog friend by his side, he does great being left home and settles in happily. Oso didn’t have an easy start to life. He spent his early days living chained up in a backyard, and when he was finally surrendered, he immediately needed entropion surgery to relieve the pain he’d been living with. Despite everything he’s been through, Oso is incredibly gentle, trusting, and full of love. His resilience is just as beautiful as his sweet heart. Oso is doing really well with cats, too. Occasionally he may show interest in chasing, but he responds well to a firm “no” and typically respects their space. He loves going on walks and enjoys exploring the world, though he can pull a bit at first. With a martingale collar, he does very well. He’s a sensitive boy who can be a little nervous when meeting new people, especially men, but he warms up more quickly to women and continues to build confidence with patience and kindness. We got additional info on him from the people’s former neighbors, and they said that he’s lived with kids and has been good with small dogs too. He’s great in the car, good on leash. He is very easy going and has done really well with the other dogs he’s interacted with. Parris is a sweet dog and does not require much but she is aggressive with other dogs. It is becoming increasingly worse the older she gets, I have two other dogs in my house and I am breaking up dog fights a couple times a week. She has been like this since we bought her. She loves to lay in the sun and sit next to you in her bed. She really does not require much work except an occasional belly rub and loves to be brushed.'We have had her 10 years and she is up to date on all her shots. She recently had several teeth removed so we now put water in her food to soften it. the must haves are a nice bed for her to lay in, she really does not like to sit on the floor. She will go for walks but they are small and she can't be out in the sun for too long due to their compromised breathing, She is about 42 pounds. It will be hard to have her go but I just cant deal with the fighting any longer. And in saying that I can assure you she has never hurt or even attempted to harm a human.
