Story
Meet Zeus, an easygoing guy who takes life one day at a time. Zeus has a sweet nature and enjoys spending time with people without asking for much in return. Zeus has earned quite the reputation among our volunteers as a treat connoisseur. He'll sit politely every time, sometimes leaning back with both front paws lifted in an adorable little "beg" pose, and he always takes his treats gently. It's one of the many ways he shows his sweet nature. On walks, Zeus keeps a comfortable pace without pulling on the leash. He enjoys gentle petting and the calm companionship of being near his people. His easygoing presence makes time with him feel peaceful and grounding. If you're looking for a laid-back companion to share everyday moments with, Zeus is ready to meet you. Zeus will only be rehomed to a family without children or with kids at least 10 years of age and if considered for a multi-dog household, a meet at the shelter will be required prior to adoption. Meet Your New Best Friend – Mani the Gentle Giant Looking for His Forever Home ❤️ If you’re searching for a laid-back companion who is happiest simply being by your side, this handsome almost 3-year-old neutered Shar-Pei might be your perfect match. At just over 58 pounds , he’s tall for a Shar-Pei and every bit the definition of a gentle giant . He’s mellow, easygoing, and gets along well with other dogs. He has met a few children and really seemed to enjoy them.  Life hasn’t always been kind to this handsome guy. He has significant scarring on his eyes from old ulcers, leaving him with limited vision. But don’t tell him that! He confidently navigates the world and seeks out play time with his foster parents.  He never lets his vision slow him down!  He’s not going to impress anyone with his obedience skills—“sit” and other commands aren’t really part of his vocabulary. But honestly, that’s part of his charm. He’s far more interested in casually sauntering around, taking in the world, and soaking up affection than showing off tricks. It’s clear he’s spent much of his life outdoors, and we’d love nothing more than to see him finally experience the comforts he deserves—a cozy bed, a loving family, and a home where he’s treated like the treasured companion he’s always deserved to be. If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet, gentle soul, we’d love to hear from you. Visit www.peipeople.com to fill out an adoption application and give this deserving boy the happily ever after he’s been waiting for.  August 23, 2026, 9:12 pm

Story
Zeva is a beautiful, almost 2-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing approximately 50 pounds. We suspect there may be some Shar-Pei in her family tree, perhaps mixed with a little Shepherd—but like many dogs, her heritage is part of the mystery that makes her so special. One thing that's not a mystery is how gorgeous she is. Zeva has a stunning brindle coat accented by beautiful white markings that make her truly stand out. This sweet girl is just wrapping up one of the most important jobs she's ever had—raising seven beautiful puppies. She has been a devoted mom, and now that her puppies are growing up and finding homes of their own, it's finally Zeva's turn to be spoiled and cherished. In her foster home, Zeva has become especially fond of the grandsons and enjoys spending time with them. She can be a little shy when meeting new people and likes a few moments to assess the situation before deciding you're worthy of her friendship. Once she feels comfortable, her gentle and loving personality shines through. Zeva is leash trained, house trained, and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a lucky family's home. She has also met the neighbor's horses and goats and couldn't have been less impressed. While some dogs would be rambuctious, Zeva simply looked at them and carried on with her day. She is looking for a patient family that will continue helping her build confidence while showing her all the wonderful things life has to offer. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion with a kind heart, beautiful soul, and a quiet appreciation for the simple things in life.  If you would like to adopt please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   ##2739562##

Story
Bubba Things you’ll love: Bubba is smart and very loyal to his people. He really loves to lay down at the foot of the bed and spoon with a human which is just maybe one of the most incredible feelings in the world. He’s independent and will check in every once and awhile. He loves to be outside and he loves putting his head in your chest while you cover his head. I’m sure you will discover many other funny things about him. …but really if you wanna make him the happiest tell him it’s time to go on a walk. He will grumble and wag his whole body. Bubba is a quiet dog unless he is alerted to someone at the door. He doesn’t bark with a passerby. Bubba has been around many dogs, but in my opinion, he would be best as a lone dog or with a calm dog that will give him space. Bubba has lived with and done well with cats.  Things to work on: leash walking. he pulls because he’s just so dang excited. He doesn’t dig but he pushes his back legs back when he’s outside. It’s also funny.August 24, 2026, 3:45 pm

Story
Meet Chacha Female DOB: May 22, 2024 Weight: 29 pounds (medium small) Breed: Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Spayed (Fixed) (Spayed during a community campaign — no paperwork available) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Chacha T is a loving, social girl with a happy personality and a wonderful balance of affection and playful energy. She absolutely loves going on walks and enjoys spending time with her people, making her a great companion for someone who enjoys having a dog involved in daily life and activities. She also gets along well with: Dogs Children Chacha T does not do well with cats and would do best in a cat-free home. Some dogs naturally have stronger prey-drive tendencies or become overly focused on smaller animals depending on breed traits, personality, and past experiences. She has beautifully matured beyond the puppy stage while still keeping a fun, playful spirit. Chacha T enjoys companionship, interaction, and being included as part of the family. A Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Mix is typically a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate companion with a wonderful balance of playful energy and steadfast devotion. This breed mix often combines the Boxer's fun-loving, people-oriented personality with the Black Mouth Cur's confidence, work ethic, and strong loyalty to their family. They are happiest when they are included in everyday life and enjoy being active alongside the people they love. These dogs are eager to learn and respond well to positive reinforcement, making them highly trainable and rewarding companions. They enjoy daily exercise, outdoor adventures, interactive games, and activities that challenge both their mind and body. While they have an energetic side, they are also known for being affectionate and enjoy relaxing with their family after an active day. A Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Mix would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily exercise and outdoor activities Continued positive reinforcement training Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of companionship and family interaction A lifelong commitment to their emotional and physical well-being With love, leadership, and consistency, a Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Mix grows into a confident, devoted, and well-mannered companion who forms deep bonds with their family and is always ready for the next adventure. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Chacha T will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Continued socialization and engagement Daily exercise and mental stimulation Patience during adjustment periods Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Chacha T will need: Daily walks and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine wellness exams and updated vaccinations Preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because vaccine records are unavailable and vaccines are currently due, adopters should establish veterinary care promptly after adoption to update and maintain her preventative care schedule. Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping her live a healthy and happy life. Chacha T is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her?
