This senior man is a true introvert and has us all a little perplexed. He has no desire to bond with people but is tolerant when forced to spend time with them. Will Koko give you cuddles? No. Will he want to spend time with you and your family on the couch? No. Does he even want to come inside the house? Not really. Would he enjoy being fed regularly? Yes. Would he like a comfy dog house in a nice yard or on some land he can roam? Absolutely! It’s not often that we recommend a dog be adopted as an outside dog but we do think he’d be happiest if that was the arrangement. He's a real lone wolf. He is very good on a leash though and we think he would enjoy daily walks - which might be a good way to develop a bond with him. Bonus points if the walks are in the snow - he LOVES snow! While Koko is not looking for anyone, he has to have someone to at least be kind to him and provide him the basics. So, we are looking for a home for Koko that understands his desire to do his own thing and maybe offer a head pat or two when Koko wants it. And, who knows, maybe as time goes on Koko will learn how nice it is to be a part of a family that wants to include him in their lives.
