Story
This is one of the hardest things had to write, but Kona deserves the absolute best life possible. Kona is a beautiful boxer mix who will be 3 years old this May. She is full of love, joy, and personality, and she has the biggest heart. She forms strong bonds with her people and truly just wants to be close to those she loves. She is a high-energy girl who needs space to run, play, and be herself, so a home with a backyard is very important for her. Kona would do best as the only pet where she can soak up all the love and attention, though a calm, small dog may be okay with the right match and slow introduction - currently has a 1 yr old frenchie brother. She is house trained and crate trained. She would thrive in a home with a family or individual who is home most of the time and can give her the time, exercise, and companionship she needs. Kona is loyal, people-focused, and wants nothing more than to be someone’s constant companion.

Story
"Hi. I’m Stella! I’m basically the full package: beauty, brains, bounce, and just a touch of dramatic flair. At 62 pounds, I’m what you might call “athletic goddess meets goofball roommate.” I’m about a year old and my foster mom thinks I’m a pittie/boxer/mastiff mix! 💕 About Me I LOVE other dogs. Like… all of them. Big, small, fluffy, awkward — I’m your girl. I play hard, but I listen. If a dog says, “Hey Stella, that’s enough,” I’ll dial it back and be a polite lady. With humans? I’m a slow burn. I like to build suspense. I may play a little hard to get at first, but once I know you’re my person… buckle up. My personality is HUGE and you’ll never be bored again. 👶 Kid Policy I think kids 10+ are my vibe. I just need them to understand that I like to take things slow at first. Once we’re friends? I’m loyal for life. 🏃‍♀️ My Ideal Match You’re active. You like walks, hikes, adventures, maybe a little backyard zoomie time. I’m young and full of energy, and I’d love a family that’s excited to do life with me. 💪 Fun Fact (The Comeback Story) When I arrived in Colorado, I had a mystery broken hip. Plot twist: I’m healed now! I had surgery and don’t have a femoral head on one side, which just makes me unique. Think of it as a custom upgrade. It doesn’t slow me down from living my best life — it just makes me extra special edition. 🛋️ My Guilty Pleasure I may lie, cheat, and steal… I’ll lie right on top of you. I’ll cheat on you with any comfy couch. And I’ll steal your spot the second you stand up. But I do it in the absolute cutest way possible, so honestly, you’ll probably thank me. If you’re looking for: ✔️ A dog who loves other dogs ✔️ A big personality in a gorgeous 62-lb package ✔️ A loyal best friend once she trusts you ✔️ A comeback queen with a heart of gold Then congratulations. You just found your match." Stella is being fostered in Castle Rock, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/stella/. Hi, I am Kona. I am a happy and energetic pup looking for a home. I like to run around and chew on toys. I have a good history with strangers and other dogs. I can be jumpy and mouthy when excited so I need a home without children under the age of 12. I would love to meet you.

Story
***I want to be very clear that Indie has a brother and would prefer they find someone willing to adopt them both. His name is Maximus, or just Max. Neapolitan Mastiff mix. Please also check his profile if considering adopting both of them. I acquired Indie after her owner suddenly passed away. Indie is a very smart, and loyal pup. She will sit or lay right next to you wherever you are like your personal sidekick. Indie has a more calmer nature, but when she’s excited she can also seem anxious. Which she is a little, she’s afraid of thunder and fireworks, and needs something to hold in her mouth (right now she has a bunny) when she’s excited. But she is so loyal and sweet. Loves belly scratches, she’ll actually give you her paw a million times, she wants you to scratch her belly. And finally, she absolutely loves to cuddle. She is not fixed.

Story
I have had my boy Leon for 4.5 yrs. Got him when he was about 6 months old. He will be 5 this April. Currently he does have some skin issues, not sure exactly what but right now he is missing some fur and I think has some sort of ear mites. Along with some rashes. I have done my best to treat them but at the moment not much seems to be helping him. And right now I am unable to take him to the vet. He does have pretty bad anxiety and can get reactive when at the vets. Not sure if anything ever happened when I wasn't present, but he has a difficult time. He had parvo as a puppy and due to this he has a more sensitive tummy. And will not put any more weight than approx 50 lbs. He is an extremely good road trip dog. Loves walks but could use some more training. He is fine with most dogs. Does not do well with cats or horses. He has been having some reactive issues with people and will need a patient person to help him with this. I am not in a place to give him the care he needs right now.
