Story
This is one of the hardest things had to write, but Kona deserves the absolute best life possible. Kona is a beautiful boxer mix who will be 3 years old this May. She is full of love, joy, and personality, and she has the biggest heart. She forms strong bonds with her people and truly just wants to be close to those she loves. She is a high-energy girl who needs space to run, play, and be herself, so a home with a backyard is very important for her. Kona would do best as the only pet where she can soak up all the love and attention, though a calm, small dog may be okay with the right match and slow introduction - currently has a 1 yr old frenchie brother. She is house trained and crate trained. She would thrive in a home with a family or individual who is home most of the time and can give her the time, exercise, and companionship she needs. Kona is loyal, people-focused, and wants nothing more than to be someone’s constant companion.

Story
"Hi. I’m Stella! I’m basically the full package: beauty, brains, bounce, and just a touch of dramatic flair. At 62 pounds, I’m what you might call “athletic goddess meets goofball roommate.” I’m about a year old and my foster mom thinks I’m a pittie/boxer/mastiff mix! 💕 About Me I LOVE other dogs. Like… all of them. Big, small, fluffy, awkward — I’m your girl. I play hard, but I listen. If a dog says, “Hey Stella, that’s enough,” I’ll dial it back and be a polite lady. With humans? I’m a slow burn. I like to build suspense. I may play a little hard to get at first, but once I know you’re my person… buckle up. My personality is HUGE and you’ll never be bored again. 👶 Kid Policy I think kids 10+ are my vibe. I just need them to understand that I like to take things slow at first. Once we’re friends? I’m loyal for life. 🏃‍♀️ My Ideal Match You’re active. You like walks, hikes, adventures, maybe a little backyard zoomie time. I’m young and full of energy, and I’d love a family that’s excited to do life with me. 💪 Fun Fact (The Comeback Story) When I arrived in Colorado, I had a mystery broken hip. Plot twist: I’m healed now! I had surgery and don’t have a femoral head on one side, which just makes me unique. Think of it as a custom upgrade. It doesn’t slow me down from living my best life — it just makes me extra special edition. 🛋️ My Guilty Pleasure I may lie, cheat, and steal… I’ll lie right on top of you. I’ll cheat on you with any comfy couch. And I’ll steal your spot the second you stand up. But I do it in the absolute cutest way possible, so honestly, you’ll probably thank me. If you’re looking for: ✔️ A dog who loves other dogs ✔️ A big personality in a gorgeous 62-lb package ✔️ A loyal best friend once she trusts you ✔️ A comeback queen with a heart of gold Then congratulations. You just found your match." Stella is being fostered in Castle Rock, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/stella/. Story
Rose is everything you expect from a Boxer, affectionate, loyal, and happiest when she’s as close to her humans as possible, she can be timid and shy at first, but she warms up quickly and forms deep bonds when she feels safe. She gets along wonderfully with other animals and would thrive in a home with furry companions, but she’d also do great as an only pet receiving all the attention. Rose is currently in a foster home and doing great learning her manners. She’s smart, gentle, and eager to please. If you’re looking for a loving companion with classic Boxer charm and a tender heart, Rose might be your perfect match. Rose is a 3-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $350 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Rose is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. She is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Thank you for choosing adoption! ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
Lou is a sweet boy. Likes cuddles on the couch and walks. He is a good guard dog. Little wary around men at first but settles with some reassurance. Loves children and is very tolerant. He comes with a crate, harness and leash. He is fostered with Tika. We are open to adopters willing to adopt one or both dogs. Lou’s rabies has recently expired. They need a yard with a tall fence or long tie downs. We only took these dogs on to foster them. Since their owners were facing eviction from affordable housing and didn’t have the time to find them a new home. They aren’t our preferred breed and we have some travel plans coming up that would make it hard and expensive to keep these two. Please reach out if you have any questions. We are in Billings, MT. And are willing to travel to neighboring states to transport the dogs and meet potential adopters.

Story
I have had my boy Leon for 4.5 yrs. Got him when he was about 6 months old. He will be 5 this April. Currently he does have some skin issues, not sure exactly what but right now he is missing some fur and I think has some sort of ear mites. Along with some rashes. I have done my best to treat them but at the moment not much seems to be helping him. And right now I am unable to take him to the vet. He does have pretty bad anxiety and can get reactive when at the vets. Not sure if anything ever happened when I wasn't present, but he has a difficult time. He had parvo as a puppy and due to this he has a more sensitive tummy. And will not put any more weight than approx 50 lbs. He is an extremely good road trip dog. Loves walks but could use some more training. He is fine with most dogs. Does not do well with cats or horses. He has been having some reactive issues with people and will need a patient person to help him with this. I am not in a place to give him the care he needs right now.
