IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. Raleigh is a 3MO, 10lb long little Brindle pup. We are guessing she will be about 20-25lbs when full grown. raleigh and her siblings are all different and unique, which makes it hard for us to even guess what breeds they truly are. Honestly we have zero idea what their breeds are, but we know they are absolutely adorable, unique, and so, so sweet. Raleigh and her siblings were found as strays in a rural part of Texas. They were absolutely terrified at first. A wonderful rescue lady in the area brought all the pups back to her house and kept them safe until we could get them into our rescue program. They have really started to come out of their shells and learn all that life has to give - when you aren't busy fighting for your life in the middle of nowhere. Raleigh and her siblings are typical puppies. They love to play with each other, romp around with the fosters other dogs, and follow the foster around, cuirously watching them. They love to snuggle and hang out. Their forever families will need to be patient with them as they continue to learn all that life has to offer and that humans are kind and safe. While they have little legs, they would still love to have a sibling to play with or someone who can take them on daily walks/adventures and get them continual mental stimulation and socialization. I have had my boy Leon for 4.5 yrs. Got him when he was about 6 months old. He will be 5 this April. Currently he does have some skin issues, not sure exactly what but right now he is missing some fur and I think has some sort of ear mites. Along with some rashes. I have done my best to treat them but at the moment not much seems to be helping him. And right now I am unable to take him to the vet. He does have pretty bad anxiety and can get reactive when at the vets. Not sure if anything ever happened when I wasn't present, but he has a difficult time. He had parvo as a puppy and due to this he has a more sensitive tummy. And will not put any more weight than approx 50 lbs. He is an extremely good road trip dog. Loves walks but could use some more training. He is fine with most dogs. Does not do well with cats or horses. He has been having some reactive issues with people and will need a patient person to help him with this. I am not in a place to give him the care he needs right now.
