Meet Ivy, a lovely 2-year-old female, weighing 47 lbs, looking for a forever home after a series of misadventures led her to the shelter. She arrived at the shelter on 10/25/23 as a lost girl. Ivy's previous owner didn't reclaim her, but that's their loss and your gain. Ivy is an affectionate and attentive companion, eager to shower her new family with love and loyalty. However, she does have a knack for fence-jumping, so she should be leash-walked to ensure her safety. Ivy is currently residing in Run #407 under ID 650297, and she's already microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. While she's been dealing with itchy skin, she'll soon receive medicated baths to help her feel more comfortable. She is spayed and the shelter plans to conduct a heartworm test to ensure her health. Hi, I'm Yogi. Are you needing a Netflix and chill buddy? Someone to lounge with throughout the holidays? Well I'd be your guy!! Unfortunately, I have heart-worms. I'm not sure what that means, but my foster mom says after some treatment (whatever that is), I'll be good to go and ready for all kinds of adventures!! I love car rides and going to new places! My nose is on the ground and in the air snorting when I go outside. All the smells of the city are amazing. I'm great with other dogs as long as we get introduced properly! (I don’t like when I get run up on in the street, ya know what I mean?) I currently am with 4 other dogs and they are all my best buddies. My heartworm treatment starts at the end of October and I'll need a quiet place to rest until I'm done with treatment. I promise to be good and we could watch TV while I rest. Sweet, loyal, and the biggest hugger you have ever met. This is the perfect description of Mr. Indaiana Bones. He LOVES his humans, and is mild tempered and fairly low energy for an 8 month old pup. He has excellent recall, and plays very nicely with other dogs. Bones is both crate and potty trained. We believe he is a Shar Pei, Pittie Terrier mix and one of the sweetest boys you will ever meet. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
