    Hi there, let me tell you a little about myself. I like nothing better than hanging with my people at home or going on walks. I walk nicely on a leash and love exploring and sniffing while out. I'm a chill girl and very well-behaved in the home.  I do all my pottying outside, and although I don't need to be crated, and I will even hang out in my crate if you need me to. I sleep in my crate in my foster home and love to lay alongside my people on the couch. I am a gentle girl and take my treats so nicely. I'm an 11-year-old Sharpei/Boxer mix who is very healthy and weighs around 60 lbs. I'm unsure what it means, but my foster mom always tells me how gorgeous I am. I sound just about perfect, don't I? I like other dogs well enough and don't mind passing them when we walk, but I would be better in a home without dogs, cats and small children. I can even play in the yard with some, but I'm not particularly eager to share my space or my things with them, so I'm looking for a forever home where I'm the only dog. I should clarify that I don't mind sharing my things with people; it's just the other dogs I don't want to share with. And cats? Well, my foster Mom says I'm way too interested in cats to be able to share a home with any. I don't have a lot of experience with young children, so my foster mom thinks I should stick to adults and teens because I may not do well with the energy of a younger child. Anyway, that's my story. Mouse is a lovely, albeit shy dog. She is 4 years old, and loves to snuggle on the couch or take long walks in the park. Even though she is a medium sized dog, the kennels she visits like to put her with the small dogs because of her quiet temperament. Mouse was originally a rescue dog, and can be very shy around new people, but once she decides you are nice, she'll be your friend for life.

One thing we already know for sure is that Emerald is a sweetheart who deserves a family willing to help her learn and grow! Emerald is not yet leash trained, so a securely fenced yard is required for her new home. She’ll need a patient and dedicated family who can help her learn basic everyday skills and give her the guidance, consistency, and encouragement she needs to thrive. Emerald appears to do well with other dogs, and we’ll continue learning more about her personality as she settles into rescue.
