Story
Greetings, I'm Mint, an 8-month-old girl with a mix. My journey began when I was just a 2-week-old baby, arriving at the city shelter along with my seven siblings and loving Mom. I bring a delightful and sociable spirit with me. One of my brothers found a loving home in Seattle through fostering, and it was love at first sight for his foster family. We're a charming bunch! Yet, the rest of my siblings, including myself, are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. All of us are a delightful blend of friendly, funny, and undeniably cute. Strength? That's a matter of perspective. I consider myself innocent and gentle, always eager for playful adventures. Food is a joy, but I'm no guard—sharing with friends is more my style. My energy level is moderate, and I enjoy playtime with pals while maintaining a calm demeanour indoors. Petting me is a breeze, and my wobbly tail is a testament to my happiness. I'm the epitome of cheerfulness—always ready with a wagging tail, especially when making eye contact. If you're in search of a bright and cheerful companion, look no further—meet me and let's create a beautiful bond! Story
Hello, I'm Bay, an adorable 8-month-old SharPei mix boy eagerly awaiting my forever home. My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, I and my other siblings are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. Picture this: lovely chocolate fur, long legs adorned with white socks, and eyes that exude innocence, much like a baby angel. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much that I'll gladly sit on a stranger's lap upon our first meeting. Playing with friends is a delight for me, and if I discover a cherished toy, I'll quietly retreat to a corner to enjoy it. My nature is gentle and kind; even if friends approach me while I'm with my toys, I'll simply relocate without any fuss or growls. If you're seeking a puppy friend to always bring a smile to your face and shower you with love, then I'm the perfect companion. Consider adopting me, and I promise to become a cherished and lovable member of your family. Let's create a beautiful bond and fill your home with joy and love together. Hello, I'm Cinamon, an adorable 8-month-old SharPei mix girl eagerly awaiting my forever home. y journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much. I allow strangers to touch or hug me. I'm a very nice, innocent soul. And I'm an extreme toy lover. If I have a toy I like, I go to the corner alone and play with it quietly without my friends knowing. I grew up in a shelter as a baby, so I have less experience. I still need to learn how to eat snacks. When I go for a walk, my tail goes down in unfamiliar places. I wish I had a family who could teach me the taste of delicious snacks and the joy of walking. I will be your lovely and good family member. I'm in a shelter in Korea and ready to fly anywhere in Seattle or Vancouver if you call my name. Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Skye is a 3-year-old, 45 lb Shar-Pei/Pit Bull mix who is looking for her forever home. Skye loves to be with her people and would thrive with a family that wants to give her lots of love and continue her basic training. She is very loving with people and loves to play ball in the yard. Skye is active but also likes to lounge. She would make a great active buddy followed by movie nights cuddling on the couch. She gives the best hugs. She has been in the kennel environment for some time and will need a family that can continue training with her, she knows sit and will work for treats! Skye is reactive to other dogs and needs to be the only dog in the home and would be best suited in a standalone home with a fenced yard. No apartment or city life for her. With training and support her reactivity could definitely improve. No cats or small critters. We are looking for a home with kids over 12 or adult only, Skye can jump when she is excited and is still learning manners! Skye is UTD on shots, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. One minute you have an owner that takes you everywhere in his truck and lets you and your brother sleep on the bed or next to his recliner.  Then the unimaginable happens and your dad won’t wake up.  You can’t call for help, you can only watch over your daddy until someone stops by.  After three days strangers started banging on the door and finally brake in.  These are people you have never seen before.  In your fear you both start barking and trying to protect dad.  The next minute you have a catchpole choking your neck and throwing you in a kennel.  You are separated from your brother and thrown in a loud kennel with strangers.  You sit in a corner shaking with fear until you finally see a face you recognize.  But you are so scared you keep barking and growling until you realize they are here to save you and your brother.  This is Chula’s story.     When we got Chula and Booger to the rescue they were still in shock from losing their dad.  For the first two months they would only let Pat near them, since they knew her in their old life.  Finally they started responding and were able to come to the kennels were they could interact with the workers and start looking for a new family.  Booger was able to find a home and is living a remarkable life.  Chula wasn’t understanding how she went from pampered housedog to living in a kennel by herself.  A decision was made to place her with Chance and see if they could make a connection.  The transformation of both dogs was incredible.  Chance became sociable and would allow us to leash him and take him for walks with Chula.  Chula enjoyed getting out of the kennel and playing.  They started spending the day in our exercise areas playing and running.  They have become social to new people and are ready for the right home.  Chula is an older dog.  She only has a few more years if she is lucky.  She has been a house dog and has never pooped in her room.  Ideally, we would love for Chance and  Chula to find a home together.  Unfortunately. we know how rare that opportunity is.  Are you that special someone who has love to give to an older dog?  She can be cautious around new people, but given a few minutes Chula will start working her magic on you.  Chula’s ideal home will be an older family without small children and no cats or small dogs.  She enjoys playing with toys and Chance in the rescue’s exercise yard.  She would love and needs to have a home with a fenced yard with perhaps a companion dog so they can play and explore the yard together.  Chula is a beautiful Shar Pei/lab mix who weighs  61.2 pounds.  She has a thyroid issue, so she has to have thyroid pills twice a day.  Are you wanting a partner to watch TV with?  Chula is ready!  You can apply for Chula at www.adoggie4you.org and arrange a meet and greet.  Chula’s adoption fee is $250.  If you would consider adopting both Chula and Chance, the adoption fee would be $300. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 12:17 pm
