Story
Meet Benjamin!  He is a 4-5yr old neutered male who came to us from a Washington shelter.  Benjamin has obviously experienced neglect in his life but there are only better days ahead for him!  He is fostering with other dogs and has done well with cats in the home.  He enjoys walks as well as lounging on the couch.  His foster is providing him with the medical care (+ love and overdue TLC) he needs and he is really blossoming in a foster home. He follows his foster mom around everywhere and is very sweet & snuggly.  Some of his fur is starting to grow in.  He does need entropion and has cherry eye in one eye but once those are taken care of he will be ready for adoption. Benjamin is UTD on vaccines, weighs approximately 53lbs and is fostering near Olympia, WA If interested in applying, please visit www.peipeople.com for more information about our adoption process and to apply online.November 29, 2023, 12:02 pm

Story
Koa's foster parent thinks she's awesome! She's so smart and knows sit, stay, shake, lay down and rollover. This velvety black coated pooch is also a very good walker, fully potty trained, and even wears grippy socks in the apartment without a fuss. Her temperament is amazing - she's just as happy lounging on the couch as she is taking long walks or being out and about. With tons of energy despite her age she'll often ask for a round of tug or hide and seek. Koa is so good with people, she's become quite the celebrity in our building, and we get so many compliments on how pretty she is. She, of course, happily soaks up all the attention and pets from everyone. Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. What my friends at Seattle Humane say about me: · I love to play with squeaky toys, I'll even toss them up to myself when playing.· I'm the greeter dog in the office, I'll make sure everyone gets a friendly greeting from me.· I'm still young and energetic so I like to have lots of different things to occupy my time.

Story
Animal Profile: Bella Bae is an estimated 7-year-old, 35 lb spayed female Shar Pei mix.  She was originally rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Harlingen, TX. According to her Texas foster, she is a very sweet and calm indoor dog. She is not barky or jumpy. She has plenty of energy for her age -- she still gets the zoomies and loves long walks. She was fostered in a home with other dogs and got along great even though one of the residents was a bit reactive (he accepted her quickly). She's overall a sweet and friendly girl. Foster Update: Bella is the sweetest and gentlest girl! She has yet to meet a human she doesn't like and she is particularly fond of kids. Don't let her age fool you, Bella is happiest when she's out walking. She can easily walk 2+ miles at a time and would likely make a fantastic jogging partner. Back home, she'll nap next to you on the couch for hours. Bella is a confident gal who isn't afraid of loud noises; she doesn't react to fireworks or sirens. She is great at going in her crate and quiet when left home alone. Like most dogs, she loves to chase squirrels (see photo),  Given she has some prey instinct, she would need to meet any potential feline housemates to test for compatibility. What this lovely lady really wants and deserves is a soft bed, yummy food, plenty of time to sniff outside, and a human of her own to shower with kisses. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner Austin Pets Alive and arrived in Seattle on Thursday 2/9/23. This dog is being fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption.November 30, 2023, 1:39 pm

Hello, I'm Cinamon, an adorable 8-month-old SharPei mix girl eagerly awaiting my forever home. y journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. We're a charming bunch! While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, my other siblings and I are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much. I allow strangers to touch or hug me. I'm a very nice, innocent soul. And I'm an extreme toy lover. If I have a toy I like, I go to the corner alone and play with it quietly without my friends knowing. I grew up in a shelter as a baby, so I have less experience. I still need to learn how to eat snacks. When I go for a walk, my tail goes down in unfamiliar places. I wish I had a family who could teach me the taste of delicious snacks and the joy of walking. I will be your lovely and good family member. I'm in a shelter in Korea and ready to fly anywhere in Seattle or Vancouver if you call my name. Hello, I'm Bay, an adorable 8-month-old SharPei mix boy eagerly awaiting my forever home. My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, I and my other siblings are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. Picture this: lovely chocolate fur, long legs adorned with white socks, and eyes that exude innocence, much like a baby angel. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much that I'll gladly sit on a stranger's lap upon our first meeting. Playing with friends is a delight for me, and if I discover a cherished toy, I'll quietly retreat to a corner to enjoy it. My nature is gentle and kind; even if friends approach me while I'm with my toys, I'll simply relocate without any fuss or growls. If you're seeking a puppy friend to always bring a smile to your face and shower you with love, then I'm the perfect companion. Consider adopting me, and I promise to become a cherished and lovable member of your family. Let's create a beautiful bond and fill your home with joy and love together. Story
Greetings, I'm Mint, an 8-month-old girl with a mix. My journey began when I was just a 2-week-old baby, arriving at the city shelter along with my seven siblings and loving Mom. I bring a delightful and sociable spirit with me. One of my brothers found a loving home in Seattle through fostering, and it was love at first sight for his foster family. We're a charming bunch! Yet, the rest of my siblings, including myself, are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. All of us are a delightful blend of friendly, funny, and undeniably cute. Strength? That's a matter of perspective. I consider myself innocent and gentle, always eager for playful adventures. Food is a joy, but I'm no guard—sharing with friends is more my style. My energy level is moderate, and I enjoy playtime with pals while maintaining a calm demeanour indoors. Petting me is a breeze, and my wobbly tail is a testament to my happiness. I'm the epitome of cheerfulness—always ready with a wagging tail, especially when making eye contact. If you're in search of a bright and cheerful companion, look no further—meet me and let's create a beautiful bond! "Hi there, I'm Cleo, the ultimate cuddle connoisseur and undisputed champion of goofy antics! 🐾 I'm a 2-year-old Boxer/Bulldog mix, and let me tell you, I've got the charm to make your heart melt. I'm a social butterfly, a friend to all dogs, and even though I've met a few cats, they're still a bit mysterious to me. 🐱 My foster mom says I'm a crate and potty pro – no accidents here! I love kids, and my idea of a perfect night is snuggling up in bed, watching a movie with my humans. 🛌 Oh, and did I mention I'm not food aggressive? You can trust me to dine peacefully in a common area. I'm sweet, I'm goofy, and I haven't even considered lifting a lip at those pesky flies. If you're looking for a furry sidekick for adventures or a cozy night in, I'm your paw-some match! Let's make some memories together – adopt me, and let the laughter begin! 🐶❤️ I am in Texas, but my $395 adoption fee includes transport to you🚌#CleoAdventures"

Story
Welcome Pumpkin to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 7-year-old Boxer/Cattle dog is our best guess. She weighs about 50 pounds. She has the most adorable underbite. She had an older man as her owner and he died and now Pumpkin is looking for her forever home. Her teeth are clean and she will not need a dental anytime soon. The older man that owned her took good care of this girl. She is a lower energy girl that would love an older couple or older single person to call her new family. She loves attention here at the rescue and she is really not sure what just happened. Every time we get her out of the kennels to walk her she is looking for her new owner. We are honored to help this charming dog. She would be great for someone wanting a companion dog. She is potty trained, leash trained and very sweet. She is getting all her vaccines topped up and will be looking for her forever home. She will be an easy dog to bring in as she isn’t too energetic and has lived in a home until recently so she is very mannerly. She doesn’t jump up which is a bonus in a rescue dog. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 250 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Hi I am Nina, I had a pretty tough life before I was rescued by my foster family. The people who had me made me fight with other dogs and then breed me to have puppies who would then be made to fight. It was really no life for a dog. But now, I feel like I have a second chance to just be a dog. I might look scary but really, I am the one who needs some confidence. Once I know you and your dogs I love to play and can be very affectionate. My foster family has a young baby and I know I need to be gentle with her. I just love to sit and watch her. One thing I need to tell you is that I don’t like cats or other small animals, I feel like I have to chase them. Car rides are fun especially if we end up at the beach. I love the beach and I am a pretty good swimmer too.I am an old gal who is pretty set in my ways so you can try to teach me new things, but I am pretty stubborn. I am just looking for a family where I can belong and live out my life in peace. If you think you could be that family, then just fill out the application and we can meet over a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Nina To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo.
