Found on a logging road and unable to stand, she faced incredible odds—but thanks to generous supporters and a whole lot of love, she made an amazing comeback. After healing from a broken pelvis and the amputation of her shattered leg, Dorothy is now unstoppable! This girl LOVES to run, play, and soak up all the attention for the people she loves. Snuggles? She's all about them. Belly rubs? Yes, please! And when she’s fully relaxed, she transforms into a snoring machine—a truly adorable bonus! After all she has been through, Dorothy is slow to trust. She needs time to become comfortable with new people, and she would do best as the only pet. Dorothy is a real sweetheart with the people she loves. But new things and people are scary for her, and she'll do best as a homebody, content to hang out with her people and play at home. She would do best in a calm home environment. A home on acreage would be amazing! Despite having only three legs, Dorothy loves to run and will enjoy having a large, fenced yard where she can safely play. Though she is dog selective and probably would not enjoy having other pets in the home, she ignores the chickens at her foster home and might do well on a farm. This special girl deserves a family to call her own. Dorothy is safe and well loved in her current foster home, but the environment is stressful for her. We're looking for a new foster (or adoptive home!) where she can thrive. HI - I'M JULIE! I'm a sweet 9-year-old Shar Pei/Staffie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I've been waiting for awhile for a home and that's a bit sad, but I'm still hopeful my person or people will come along. I only weigh about 52 lbs and am an affectionate snuggle bug. I prefer to be the only dog in the home and prefer people to dogs so would do best with a single person, a couple or a family with older kids. I'm not a fan of cats either, so no kitties for me please. I am in great athletic shape and still love to go for walks and hikes. And I love the water! I also love the fresh air and the feeling of the sunshine on my back. Could you give me a chance and foster or adopt me?
