She is a wonderful, sweet, low energy pup that is shy at first, but once she is used to you, she loves you forever. She loves hanging out with family. She is learning about all new things. She knows sit and shake and loves her dog bed. Learning to walk on a leash. She will require a securely fenced yard, continued dog training. Sweet Sandy is about 6yrs old and she weighs 50lbs. Sandy is a happy, friendly girl that is overdue for her own forever home. She has been moved around quite a bit in the last few years. She is currently in boarding and here is what her caretakers have to say about her: “Meet Sandy! This sweet and spunky ~50lb, six-year-old Shepherd mix is ready to find her forever home in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! Sandy is a wonderful dog, and has an adorably unique underbite smile! Sandy is the perfect mix of playful and well-mannered. She has an energetic spirit and loves going on walks, hikes, and any outdoor adventures you’ll take her on. A big fan of water, she’ll happily splash around and play to her heart’s content. He will be a medium to large dog as an adult. Rubble, his mom (45 lb) and littermates were found running down access road of a highway when they were 5 weeks old. Everyone in litter and mom died of Distemper (due to owner not giving them shots). Rubble is the sole survivor. He will be special needs throughout his life. He is a very special puppy that has tons of love to give and loves all humans, children, playing with other polite /low energy dogs, playing with toys and visiting with volunteers/staff getting chicken /treats. Did we say he LOVES his humans? When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper. He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides. He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects. He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap. He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health. He is looking for a special needs mixed breed dog experienced family. He will do best with another dog companion and someone that works from home or caregiver (female) is home. No apartments. We adopted her as a Christmas present last year dispote my husbands request not too.As much as i really wanted a dog and the companionship of a beloved furry friend given my lifes circumstances i just dont have proper time and attention to give her everyrhing she needs to be the best possible dog she can be. She's about 9 months old. So a very energetic puppy. She's very treat motivated, quiet, loves bath time.
