Story
Great semi energetic snuggly little boy!! Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com or  https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other Rubble is a 6 mos old  (DOB 8 Feb 2023) 40 lb Boxer/Retriever mix.  He will be a medium to large dog as an adult.  Rubble, his mom (45 lb) and littermates were found running down access road of a highway when they were 5 weeks old.  Everyone in litter and mom died of Distemper (due to owner not giving them shots).  Rubble is the sole survivor.  He will be special needs throughout his life.  He is a very special puppy that has tons of love to give and loves all humans, children, playing with other polite /low energy dogs, playing with toys and visiting with volunteers/staff getting chicken /treats. Did we say he LOVES his humans?  When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper.  He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides.  He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects.  He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap.  He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health.   He is looking for a special needs mixed breed dog experienced family.  He will do best with another dog companion and someone that works from home or caregiver (female) is home.    No apartments.   Courtesay post for the Helotes Humane Society. Story
This sweet boy is a lovable, compact guy with a big personality and even bigger heart! At just 41 lbs, this 1.5-year-old is the perfect size for someone wanting a playful and snuggly best friend. Bowie is full of fun—he’s always up for a game of tug, playing with his stuffies, or chomping at water from the hose like it’s his mission in life. He’s playful and curious, but once he’s had his fun, he’s more than happy to curl up beside you on the couch for some quality snuggle time. He loves car rides and would be thrilled to be your co-pilot on errands, road trips, or weekend getaway, This guy is all around your perfect laid back dude! He’s friendly with people, loves being near his humans, and does great home alone during the day snoozing on the couch. Bowie lived with a dog, and a cat in his last home. We think with proper intros, and a consistent environment Bowie will be someone’s dream dog. He was also fostered with a group of dogs and did great, but we’ve learned on leash walks he will need continued training with his excitement of other dogs on leashes. He is very intelligent, learns quickly, and eager to please. Recently Bowie had a training session with leash work, and he did amazing! He showed everyone he is smart, and takes corrections appropriately. Bowie is young, and on the small-medium side. He’s the perfect travel, adventure, lounge around home, cuddle buddy, and with a few tweaks, and a consistent environment you will in fact find your best buddy!! Please fill out an application to set up a meet with Bowie! https://form.jotform.com/232265690912155 *Vaccinated *Neutered *Crate trained *Potty trained *LOVES humans

Lily is 12 years old. She likes to spend time by herself, but really likes to have her hind legs scratched. She's good with older kids. She likes to give the side eye and definitely judges you! She is the sweetest little girl and deserves all the love in the world. She has a brother that she pretends to not like, but will always make sure to leave food in the food bowl for him and leaves water for him to drink. She loves people, but not other animals.

Story
Here is Chase. He is a 12 month-old old puppy mix breed. Handsome, smart, fast learner Chase loves the world: he is good with people, he loves all dogs and wants to play with them non-stop, he still learning language of his playmates and needs some guidance, but he has a strong desire to learn about the world and is interested in everything: plants, things, environments around him. He notices everything and he learns really fast: in no time learned “sit” command and the fact that he needs to go out (thing that is called “house trained”. He can stay in a crate, but he is good without a crate too- he is not destructive. It is not known how he will behave if left alone, he didn’t do well in the pound, as he was stressed in a confined space. He is absolutely capable of entertaining himself if/when others around him get tired of his exuberant energy. He can play with the simplest toys (rope, paper), and he does not destroy toys. He is a happy curious puppy who wants to learn more about the world around him. If Chase finds someone who will be willing to work with him and set rules and boundaries, teach him to walk on a leash and teach him to restrain his enthusiasm, he will be a wonderful lifelong companion for hiking, exploring the world or chilling at home.

Story
Ziggy is an older distiguished gentledog. He loves to be a couch potato. He does love going for a walk. He is always happy to see people and give them his paw. He follows commands and is crate trained. His nickname is "Tiger" because of his coat. He is very loving to people and selective to other dogs. Proper introduction is always a must. He wouldn't be ideal with a house that has small children. He is always eager to please. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He would love to travel anywhere in the US or Canada. ##1545628##
