She is sweet and affectionate. She is fairly good on the leash but she could still use some training. She’s had a tough life…and deserves to have a great life now. She is aggressive to cats…probably has been outside and possibly on the road long enough to learn to chase cats. Her energy level from a score of 1-10 (10 being a Jack Russel) is probably a 4. She is great with people and gets along with other dogs. She had a couple of growths on her belly which were extracted and sent to the lab. Both came back benign. Please consider being her savior. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. He will be a medium to large dog as an adult. Rubble, his mom (45 lb) and littermates were found running down access road of a highway when they were 5 weeks old. Everyone in litter and mom died of Distemper (due to owner not giving them shots). Rubble is the sole survivor. He will be special needs throughout his life. He is a very special puppy that has tons of love to give and loves all humans, children, playing with other polite /low energy dogs, playing with toys and visiting with volunteers/staff getting chicken /treats. Did we say he LOVES his humans? When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper. He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides. He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects. He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap. He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health. He is looking for a special needs mixed breed dog experienced family. He will do best with another dog companion and someone that works from home or caregiver (female) is home. No apartments. HI - I'M MILLIE! And I'm truly a miracle dog! I had reportedly been roaming in an empty field in the high desert of California for over a month. When I was finally caught, I had heat stroke, and my temperature was so high that the shelter's thermometer couldn't even read it. But after some tender loving care, I cooled down to a normal temperature. I had fought for my life, and I made a full recovery. I'm truly the perfect dog. I'm sweet, loving and smart. I regularly gave the shelter staff my paws to show them my gratitude. I was pretty well housetrained in the shelter. I love other dogs, even those that jump all over me.
