Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. BENTLEY is possibly a Shar Pei mix male. DOB 10/1/24; We expect he could get to be 35-45#s when grown. Bentley has a sweet-gentle spirit and can be a bit shy and timid. Bentley is crate trained and potty trained. He goes in and out of the doggy door. He loves playing with dogs and loves his doggy treats. Bentley loves to experience the outdoors while he goes dog walking on a leash. The Shar Pei breed is from China and, like the Chow, most of those breeds don’t need to be house trained. Of course, we speak about purebred Shar Pei and BENTLEY is a mix… but he is house trained with the foster at 4 mos of age. Other characteristics of the breed is loyal, independent, calm, protective, stubborn, and intelligent. Proper socialization and training are crucial to help Shar Pei puppies develop into well-rounded adults. They thrive in a loving and stable environment and benefit greatly from positive reinforcement. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. He is currently in Texas and can easily be transported which we do all the time to the PNW! Ask us about how that works. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in Puyallup, WA EMMIE is possibly a Shar Pei mix female. DOB 10/1/24;. We expect she could get to be 30-40#s when grown. She is a sweet-gentle spirit and can be a bit shy and timid. Emmie is crate trained and potty trained. She goes in and out of the doggy door. That is how she was in Texasm, but since coming up and being separated from her brother she is still nervous so although she was potty trained and will be again, right now she is currently not. She is warming up more and more each day and will now take treats from the fosters hand, she loves her doggy treats. Emmie loves to experience the outdoors while she walked on a leash in Tx. She is still nervous about the leash here in foster but yes she will get over that and be like she was previously in TX. She has not been around small children and she is timid on first introductions to strangers. She warms up with lots of TLC and treats. She is shy with new people hence we say no children home but definitely ANOTHER dog to be with. Tofu is a little spit fire. He loves to walk and play in the yard with friends. He is full of energy that he needs to burn off. He will need a home that is active and doesn't have some small kids. He loves to play ball and then climb up on the couch and watch a movie. He is a little bundle of love. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and chipped. He can be tranported anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1508381##

Story
Nola is truly an exceptional girl. She is the dog that everyone hopes their dog to be. She is a little unsure when meeting new people, and she is very observant so she will quickly trust a new person when she senses their kindness. She is a very gentle tempered, sweet girl that would love a person to whom she can be a devoted companion. Even with all the changes in throughout the past few months, she has remained a loving, affectionate girl to every new person that has come in to her life. About 6 months ago, her person suddenly died so she was given to a family friend. He also recently died and there was nowhere for her to go so she and two small dogs (Calvin is pictured) were left abandoned in a home together for almost three weeks. They did have a friend of the family come once a day to feed them and let them go outside for a quick potty break. As much as they tried, they could not find any help until we were contacted. Both of these dogs are so wonderful, we just could not say no to them. Nola loves her little buddy, but she’ll be just fine as an only dog as long a new loving person has plenty of time to share. She would be a great walking and hiking partner, and she can just lounge around, too. Nola is very quiet so she could also be a great office dog companion. She is approx 6yrs old and is a solid 55lb girl. With her square head and jaw, she appears to be a Shar pei mix, with maybe some heeler and who knows what else. We do know that she is a wonderful, rare gem of a girl that is not often found. She is house trained, crate trained, and she’s great in the car. She’s even great with cats! She will be a wonderful addition to a very lucky family. She must have 4ft or higher, securely fenced yard. Kids should be over 10yrs old

Story
Sweet Sandy is about 6yrs old and she weighs 50lbs. Sandy is a happy, friendly girl that is overdue for her own forever home. She has a wonderful temperament and loves meeting new people so lots of walks and social outings will be welcomed. She gets along with friendly, playful, polite dogs, too. Sandy is a very quiet girl so with a little training she could be a great office dog companion. She is fully house and crate trained so she can stay home for a reasonable amount of hours. She has not spent much time with young children so kids must be over 12yrs old. She also has not been tested with cats so no kitties please. A 5ft or higher, securely fenced yard is best.

Story
Dorothy – The Three-Legged Wonder! Dorothy is a survivor with a heart of gold! Found on a logging road and unable to stand, she faced incredible odds—but thanks to generous supporters and a whole lot of love, she made an amazing comeback. After healing from a broken pelvis and adapting like a champ to life on three legs, Dorothy is now unstoppable! This girl LOVES to run, play, and soak up all the attention. Snuggles? She's all about them. Belly rubs? Yes, please! And when she’s fully relaxed, she transforms into a snoring machine—a truly adorable bonus! Dorothy is ready to bring joy, cuddles, and laughter to her forever family. Could she be the missing piece in your home? Her fosters guess that she wouldn't like to be in a home with cats though we haven't tested her with any. She'd be fine as the only dog but could do well with friendly dogs and proper introductions.
