Story
Kane is a playful, sweet, motivated, trainable, energetic boy! He has come so far in his training and work. He knows basic obedience (sit, stay, down, place, wait, thresholds, crate manners, etc) but will need proofing of those behaviors, as he is still a young puppy who is learning! Kane’s foster has a training video she can send to applicants that he really shines in! Kane is still learning leash manners and how to behave in the big outside world, as most puppies are. He does well with structure and boundaries along with lots of love and treats. He is potty-trained and crate-trained. Kane has lots of puppy energy and breed needs that will need training and direction, but he will be a glorious dog for the right home! We have been using a flirt pole to harness that drive, and he’s obsessed. He has been learning how to relax and have calm energy and has been progressing amazingly. Kane has been able to meet and play with a couple of dogs but does have an assertive, energetic, pittie play style. He might do best in a single dog household or with another dog who is playful & tolerant and willing to do slow introductions. But he sure does LOVE to play, and so the right doggie friend might be perfect. He is like a weighted blanket when cuddling, is a sloppy-floppy-sleeper, is a sucker for good chin scratches, and all around just wants to connect with you and be the best boy. He will thrive in the right home without a doubt! He does demonstrate a prey-drive so no smaller pets or cats are recommended at this time. Kane is suited for older children, but not children under 10. His adoption is $375. May 1, 2024, 5:37 pm
