Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Transferred from South Plains SPCA in Lubbock, Texas, mom and single puppy, mom is HW+ and will need 2-3 months of heartworm treatment, then spayed. Single puppy is Willow, approximately 7 weeks old. **If you would like to meet Ruby, please email us at info@coloradopuppy.org; Ruby does not attend adoption events and is available for private meet-and-greets only.** From the foster: Ruby is a loving and gentle angel of a dog! Her favorite thing to do is stare into her humans eyes, or cuddle as close as possible on the couch. Ruby has never met a stranger. She loves everyone who walks through the door - you’d think she’s known them forever. Ruby is extremely patient and tolerant and eager to please. She goes into her crate without a problem and doesn’t make a peep when she’s inside. She is not crated while her foster mom is at work and she is completely happy just lounging on the couch. She has no destructive behavior at all. She is acing potty training but will hold it all day in her crate, and just needs a potty break before a long time in the house with no outside access. She alerts her foster mom that she needs to go outside by going and standing in front of the door. She would use her doggie sisters’ dog door if she could fit through it. She lives happily with 3 small doggie foster sisters. She has no resource guarding of toys, food, or her humans. Ruby is still learning how to play! It took her about a month to choose a toy from the toy bin and actually play with it. She doesn’t totally understand tug of war but her foster sisters are trying to teach her. Because Ruby is such a gentle and loving girl, her foster thinks that while she would tolerate just about anything, she would be happiest in a home with other gentle dogs (or she’d be fine as a solo dog as well - she doesn’t need another dog in the home to be happy or comfortable). A doggie behavioralist noted that Ruby doesn’t quite know what to do with herself around other dogs. She’s awkward so if she does have another doggie buddy, then a confident and socially savvy friend or someone who she doesn’t really notice would be a good match. Ruby is not tested with cats or children yet. Her gentle and tolerant demeanor suggests she would be excellent with humans of all sizes and would probably be ok with cats but does have a tendency to want to chase squirrels and birds. She does not jump or bark - she’s barked about 5 times in the 4 months she’s been in foster - one of which was at the robot vacuum. Ruby will need some training on walks as she’s not gotten much practice due to her heart worm treatment. She pulls to greet other dogs (and squirrels). Ruby is truly as close to perfect as they come. She will be the most amazing, loving, cuddly, gentle addition to any home. All this girl wants is love 🩷 www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Previously puppy #647 in 2025, adopted in November 2025. Returned June 2026 because the family is moving somewhere that doesn't allow pit bulls. From the foster: 💙 Meet Dozer: Your Future Adventure Buddy 💙 If you’re looking for a couch potato, keep scrolling. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you active, and love you with his whole heart, then let us introduce you to Dozer. Dozer is a young, playful guy with energy to spare and a zest for life that’s impossible not to love. Whether he’s wrestling with his puppy friends, chasing toys, or finding a new way to entertain himself, this boy is always ready for fun. He could happily spend hours playing with other dogs and would thrive with an active family that appreciates his enthusiasm for life. But here’s the best part: when the fun is over, Dozer knows how to settle down and relax. He isn’t all go, all the time. He has an “off switch” and enjoys winding down with his people after a day of adventure. He’s also got the basics down: ✔️ Crate trained ✔️ Potty trained ✔️ Goes outside to do his business ✔️ Friendly, affectionate, and eager to learn Dozer does get excited when he’s receiving the love and attention he’s been waiting for, and his happiness can occasionally overflow into enthusiastic puppy behavior. He’ll do best with a family that can provide loving structure, healthy boundaries, and clear expectations. The wonderful thing about Dozer is that he genuinely wants to please. Give him guidance and consistency, and he’ll happily meet you halfway. What truly sets Dozer apart is the way he looks at people. Those big, expressive eyes seem to say, “Tell me what you need from me, and I’ll try my very best.” Beneath all that playful energy is a sweet soul searching for connection, belonging, and a family to call his own. Dozer isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for a teammate, an adventure partner, and someone to love with his whole heart. Could that be you? 🐾❤️ www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Jasper was adopted from CPR at ~7 months old, originally from Raton Humane Society in NM. Almost exactly 2 years later, we received information from Humane Colorado that Jasper had been surrendered to them with the cited reason being "owner problems." He was picked up by CPR the next day with a bad ear infection the shelter suspected had gone untreated for at least a month, along with several grooming needs that had gone unmet. From the foster: Are you looking for a ‘ready out of the box’ dog? Does a pup who knows sit, stay, kennel, shake, lay down etc call to your heart? If so don’t pass this boy up. Jasper is incredibly well socialized, has some basic training and also house and crate trained. Treats? Yup, loves them! Walks? Couldn’t be happier to be by your side! Other dogs and play buddies? Can’t wait to meet them! Doggy door? No problem! He truly is the whole package. Also a bonus tip this boy LOVES water! If you have space in your heart and home please apply to meet Jasper! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
