Story
Meet Spud
At just 10–12 months old and around 50 pounds, Spud is basically still a puppy wrapped in a ridiculously handsome brindle-and-white coat. Seriously… this boy is STUNNING. But as good-looking as he is, it’s his joyful personality that completely steals the show. If there is a happier dog out there, we honestly can’t imagine it.
Spud loves people, loves dogs, and loves every form of affection and attention available. Belly rubs? Yes please. Ear scratches? Absolutely. Being told he’s handsome? Essential daily business. He is affectionate, social, trusting, and so eager to connect with the world around him. His tail seems to have only two settings: wagging and turbo wagging.
One of the most remarkable things about Spud is how gentle and tolerant he is. He calmly allowed ticks to be removed from his body without complaint. You can handle every inch of him, check his teeth, touch his food — he responds with nothing but easygoing trust and sweet natured patience.
Spud does have an energetic play style We suspect he may never have really had the chance to simply be a carefree puppy and PLAY before now. He’s making up for lost time with enthusiasm, joy, and some delightfully goofy energy.
What Spud needs now is a family who will continue showing him the good life — love , guidance , adventure , structure , and plenty of playtime . In return, he’ll give you nonstop smiles, loyal companionship, endless pittie wiggles, and enough happy energy to brighten even the hardest days.
Spud’s story could have ended very differently. He was found wandering down the middle of a rural two-lane highway alongside his friend Foxy , somehow avoiding speeding cars and tragedy. But the moment his rescuers stopped, Spud made it clear exactly who he is — a happy, loving, people-adoring goofball.
He trotted right up to them with his tail wagging and that classic pittie wiggle that says, “Hi! I already love you.”
