Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: 3-month-old transferred from Operation Kindness in Texas. One of 10 dogs transferred from a property involved in a 200+ dog fighting case in Texas. From the foster: Twizzler boy is your perfect mix of playful and sleepy. One minute he’s your wild boy playing nonstop, and the next he’s out cold after a big day of fun. This boy plays hard and sleeps even harder! If you have a big basket of all the toys, you’ll instantly become Twizzler’s favorite person. He loves when you throw the ball/toy for him and could happily spend his time chasing toys and exploring. With his big ol’ paws leading the way, Twizzler is a curious little adventurer who loves sniffing and exploring everything around him. His personality really shines outside, where he feels confident and playful. Indoors spaces can take him a little time to get used to, but once he’s comfortable you’ll find him happily tromping around the house checking everything out. Twizzler can be a little shy at first, but give him a couple days of love and patience and he quickly realizes you’re safe and becomes your shadow. He’s doing amazing with his routine. He has been sleeping hard through the night with no accidents, doing great with crate training, and making good progress with potty training. Twizzler thrives with a good balance of playtime and nap time and settles in beautifully with structure. This sweet, playful boy is great with kids and other dogs! He going to grow into a loyal best friend for the lucky family who gives him his forever home. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Litter of 6 transferred from SPCA South Plains (TX). The litter was originally found as strays alongside their mother and a total of 8 puppies. One puppy remained in Texas for medical treatment for puppy strangles (non-contagious) and is currently healing; they are expected to join their littermates at a later date. The whereabouts of the eighth puppy are unknown. Puppies were approximately 3 months old at the time of intake. All puppies are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. From the foster: Meet Racoon (RahKu)! 🐾🤎 This brindle beauty with soulful eyes and the sweetest little polka-dotted socks is as special as her name. Racoon — lovingly called RahKu — may be smaller in size, but she has a quiet strength and resilience that shines brighter every day. Agile and quick on her feet, she moves with grace, but she’s a bit more reserved than some of her siblings. Being one of the smaller pups, she’s learned how to stand up for herself — and that independent spark is something we adore about her. Beneath that cautious start is a tender heart that just needs a little time and reassurance to fully bloom. RahKu is working on potty training and making steady progress. She already knows “sit” and truly enjoys training sessions — especially when treats are involved! She’s smart, observant, and seems to love the connection that comes with learning alongside her people. She can be a little unsure at first and takes extra time to open up, but with patience and love, she has grown so much already. Watching her confidence build has been a beautiful thing. In the right home — one that offers encouragement, kindness, and consistency — she will absolutely flourish. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, loyal companion with a gentle spirit and a brave little heart, Racoon (RahKu) might just be your perfect match. 🤍 www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
