From the foster: Pepita has the sweetest heart and a serious love for her people. She’s fully potty trained and sleeps through the night in her crate. While she may not rush into the crate on her own, she settles in just fine once she’s inside. Pepita is a total people-dog who wants to be near her humans whenever possible. She’s very food motivated and eager to learn — she hasn’t mastered “sit” just yet, but she proudly stands for you every time! 😂 Pepita would do great in a home with another friendly dog who can help show her the ropes of how to “dog.” She’s learning and gaining confidence every day. What we know: Transferred from Furever Friends, Grant County KS while mom was pregnant. Born in care to Mama Miso, litter of 10 but one stillborn; 5 boys, 4 girls surviving. From the foster: Bao - The fourth baby born to Momma Miso and the sweetest puppy. He is a gentle little boy and will politely tuck his ears down and come up to you for kisses. Of all the puppies in the litter I would say Bao is the gentlest and calmest. Bao was also born with a crooked tail which adds to him being so special. He wants to play with his siblings or cuddle up with you for snuggles. He is almost always the first puppy ready for his nap after some sibling play time. We are working on house training, and there are rarely accidents inside. We are also working on crate training. What we know: 3 puppies came to us from South Plains SPCA in Texas. They were pulled off the Euthenasia list with mom who is being rehomed in Texas. From the foster: AJ is the definition of all puppy, all heart. She plays hard, crashes hard, and brings a whole lot of joy in between. Whether she’s romping around with her sister or curling up for a well-earned nap, AJ is living her best puppy life. She’s already learning the basics of potty training and will go potty outside when taken out to the grass. She’s not quite asking to go out yet, but with consistency and a routine, she’s well on her way. AJ is very food-motivated and enthusiastic about mealtime, so we’ve started using a slow feeder to help her learn that the food isn’t going anywhere. AJ has been an excellent sleeper and currently sleeps through the night in a large kennel with her sister, using a cozy bed on one side and puppy pads on the other. Since she will be sleeping solo for the first time in her new home, the first few nights may come with a short adjustment period, which is very normal for puppies. With consistency and reassurance, she should continue to do great. AJ is wonderful with kids and has done beautifully with our 5- and 6-year-old boys.
