Story
Ace is a 3-year-old pit mix with a big heart and a playful spirit. He is a happy, energetic dog that loves to play and be up under you! He loves playing with kids and enjoys being part of the action. He also enjoys meeting and playing with dogs and can thrive in a household with another dog. Ace is fully house and crate trained. He knows commands such sit, down, crate/place, and "drop it." He even knows how to dry his mouth after drinking water! He's smart and eager to please, and does best with structure and consistency. Ace can be a little apprehensive in new environments but loves people which will help him warm up in no time. He is a very people-oriented dog and forms strong bonds. Ace's favorite spot will be right next to you and because of this he can experience separation anxiety. He would do best with a family that can give him patience, reassurance, and a consistent routine. A home where he isn't left alone for long periods would be ideal.

He’s not here for chaos, drama, or cardio… but he is here for cozy naps, quiet companionship, and being your loyal shadow around the house. If you’ve been dreaming of a dog who’s happiest lounging beside you, Jameson is ready to apply for the position of full-time best friend. This sweet guy is crate trained, house trained, and also semi-stimulus collar trained. He’s lived the good life before and is looking for a calm, loving home to enjoy his golden years.     Jameson can get along with other dogs, though he hasn’t been introduced to new dog friends in a while. He’d likely do best with slow, respectful introductions. He’s not the type to demand the dog park lifestyle, but he’d be willing to go if it meant spending time with his person.     Jameson does have a sensitive side — he has a low tolerance for loud noises and fast movements, such as remote-control toys or running children. He also can be wary around unfamiliar men, like handymen or first-time visitors, so he’ll need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and love. Jameson would thrive in a quiet adult home (or a home with older, respectful kids) where life is peaceful and predictable.     If you’re someone with a soft spot for seniors and a heart big enough to offer comfort, stability, and love, Jameson will repay you with unconditional love, loyalty, and companionship. Apply today and don't let this one get away! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Bianca is 8yo, weighs 65lbs, is intact, is not up to date on her vaccinations, and is not microchipped.  Bianca's guardian adds:  "She dislikes any animals near her food, dislikes her nails being clipped; never home alone during the day; she has the freedom to roam or she will sit in her crate; she sleeps either in her crate or on her bed pillow; she gets very excited and will jump all over the car, so I would suggest having her in a crate if taking a car ride.  She does not respond to the word 'sit'; she only responds to the word 'cease'.  She is a jumper.  She likes to jump on people and wrap her paws around them like she is hugging." Bianca's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her: "She is getting older and I just dont have the time to give her the attention that she deserves.  I am also having financial trouble that is preventing me from keeping her up on her vet visits, vaccines etc." Bianca's guardian offers a brief a medical history: "She does not like her nails clipped.  I have been unable to clip them for a very long time and they desperately need it.  I contacted a vet to ask if they could put her under anesthesia in order to clip her nails, but the cost I could not afford.  She also has a lump on her stomach.  It seems to be a cyst of some sort but I have not been able to afford a vet visit to find out exactly what it is.  I just need her to go to someone that can really give her the care she deserves." Bite incident:  In September 2023, in Odenton, Bianca bit another dog when it got close to her food while eating; the bite didn't break the skin; animal control was not involved; medical attention was not sought.  Bianca's guardian explains:   "She has never bit/scratched/attacked a human but she is very territorial when it comes to her food.  We had another dog that got too close to her bowl and she bit him.  It did not break the skin, and he seemed to be fine afterwards.  She shows no aggression towards the human handling her food, only towards other animals that get near her food." Bianca's guardian states the following regarding children:  Since Bianca has lived with children, ages 2-19, her guardian recommends her living with children, stating... "She has never showed aggression toward a child ever. Inside or outside the home, although she has not been around many children outside the home.  She does het excited when outside and sees other dogs/people." Bianca's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Bianca has lived with another dog, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating... "She is okay around other dogs but will defend herself if she feels threatened.  No other animals should be allowed near her food." Bianca's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Since Bianca lives with cats and ferrets, her guardian recommends her living with other animals, stating... "She is very playful with other animals.  We have had cats and ferrets both of which she played with." Bianca's guardian describes her as: Couch potato Quiet Playful Friendly Affectionate Protective Indoor Only Pet House-Trained Crate-Trained Bianca's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "Possibly a family with a fenced yard and no other dogs." Rehoming Fee:  None Location:  Odenton, MD***** ADOPTION PROCESS  1. If you are interested in ADOPTING me, please CLICK HERE:  ADOPT ME 2. When your application is received, a Placement Manager will do a basic screening. Applications will be forwarded to the owner for further screening and continuation in the adoption process.  3.
