Story
Looks like: Lhasa Apso mix Female, 8 years old (estimated), 16 pounds Sweet, sweet Maggie! This girl is bound to steal your heart in a heartbeat! With those incredibly soft, soulful eyes and her sparkling personality, what's not to love? She gets along great with other dogs, and don't let her age fool you, she will even run around and play with other pups who are up for it! Maggie would be an excellent addition to any home ready to shower her with love. We don't know yet how she is with children, but she has gotten along well with a dog-savvy cat. Maggie joined us from Santa Cruz County Animal Services to find that lucky forever home!

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $700   The Mean Girl puppies are a litter of 14 week old puppies ready for a lifetime of wearing pink! This litter is 4 girls and 1 boy. Mom is a mixed breed and we get to guess what those breeds are! These puppies are currently in the 5-6 pound range so we suspect they’ll end up around 12-15 pounds when fully grown. For those who love the terrier breed, you truly won’t find a better companion than one of these cuties! They are so fetch!   Cady: Cady is the epitome of calm and collected in the form of a cuddly and loving puppy! Unlike her brother and sister, she prefers to hang back and watch the action before hopping in on playtime. Cady prefers the quieter play options and is happy to play with a toy and her people. Cady is a total people person and just wants to get cuddles and belly rubs! This adorable girl would never let a Queen B stop her from loving on her people!  Gretchen: Gretchen is sorry people are so jealous of her but she can’t help that she is so adorable! Gretchen is laid back like her sister Cady and prefers a long nap in a lap than a rambunctious play session. She loves toys of all kinds and will drag around a toy twice as big as her if you try to tell her she is small. This girl is mighty! Well, when she’s awake that is. Gretchen’s ideal day? A movie marathon on the couch with her people (with both versions of Mean Girls, of course)!   Karen: What is Karen supposed to be? The world’s cutest puppy, duh! Karen is the Mama’s girl of the bunch and loves being anywhere her people are. Karen is the biggest cuddler of the group and loves sitting on your lap, on your chest, or just about anywhere that you will let her. Karen has an amazing ability to fall asleep anywhere, even when her siblings cause chaos around her. It’s like she has ESPN or something… as long as ESPEN means cuddles forever!  Regina: Her name is Regina George and she is a massive deal! Our Regina is nothing like her fictional counterpart, no Burn Book in her closet! Regina loves to play and is happy to follow around the leader of the group. Though if you mess with her, she will pounce back! Of course, a tiny puppy pouncing is just about the cutest thing in the world so we all let her think she is very fierce! Regina loves to snuggle and would be so happy to end her days with a “cool mom” who will let her snore the evening away!  Aaron: As the solo boy with four sisters, Aaron quickly learned how to turn on the charm! Aaron is a confident and playful boy who adores showing off his skills and tricks. Aaron loves wrestling with his foster siblings, but he also always wants to keep his people in his sights, scampering after them if they take their eyes off him. What can we say? When you’ve got a showstopper you’ve gotta keep your eyes on the prize! Aaron would love a sibling to spend his days playing with, but either way you’ll be getting the cutest boy in school!    The puppies start their day at 6 AM with breakfast as their pen is cleaned up from the night. During the day, they alternate between eating, playing, and napping on top of each other. They have attended several play sessions with humans and love zooming around with their toys as prizes. In the evening, the puppies have dinner before getting their snuggles and cuddles in. They end the day curled up together in their pen as they dream of the days ahead!  The Mean Girl puppies have been socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes and currently live with several dogs. They have interacted with the resident cat and were respectful. We expect interested homes to provide a plan for continued training and socialization to ensure the litter grows up into well-rounded adults! Don’t delay, make fetch happen today with a Mean Girls puppy!   The puppies are an option for those who have had a dog previously and demonstrate a concrete plan of training. We will be seeking individual homes for each puppy as we do not place siblings together. Kids in the home should be over the age of 5.May 1, 2024, 9:42 pm
