Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $650 Dewey is a 2 year old Shih Tzu x Poodle mix who is ready to hit the paw-ty scene with his forever home! Dewey was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Central California that sent out the paw signal for assistance. This lovely boy trotted his way into the heart of his rescuer and he hasn’t looked back since! Dewey weighs around 20 pounds which makes him the perfect size for air travel, errands, or anything else you want to get up to! Deweys beautiful cream-colored coat will require regular grooming to ensure he looks his handsome best. He is not a true hypoallergenic dog but for those looking for less hair, he’s your man! Dewey is the ultimate love bug who can’t wait to find his new best friend to shower with affectionate kisses. Dewey has a lovely, playful energy and he loves his squeaky toys. If you let him, he would sit on a throne of toys like the royal he is! Dewey has a knack for befriending every human he meets and loves showing off his fabulous personality. He has a fabulous sploot, with his legs rivaling even the greatest gymnast. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him in Paris later this summer competing for Team USA! Dewey has a puppy-like temperament and is still very much looking for a playful home where he can show off his zoomies and fetch techniques. He would love to join you on whatever adventures summer has in store, from trips to the beach to nights under the stars. Dog-friendly s’mores? Sign Dewey up for three! Dewey adores his people and would love to be your WFH buddy, as long as he gets out for his daily romps. Dewey is house trained and crate trained. He gets two walks a day and loves his romps. He knows basic commands (sit, down, stay, off, leave it, place) and is highly food motivated. Dewey is also super smart and would love learning more tricks to increase his repertoire. Dewey would love a backyard for his daily zoomies. Dewey loves playing with dogs of all ages and sizes. He does have some over eager behaviors on a leash, due to a lack of socialization prior to his rescue. He will need a home dedicated to his ongoing training to ensure he can regulate his excitement on and off leash. Dewey would be a fabulous candidate for a neighborhood where he can practice those skills. He would love a confident dog sibling to continue helping him reach his best self. If you’re looking for a handsome man with a selfie face, look no further than Dewey! Dewey is only an option for homes who have previously owned a dog.
