Story
Nirai (means calm) and her 4 friends were all dumped in the streets of Fremont. They were all neglected dirty and very matted. She is more timid and nervous than the others. Needs more time to decompress and feel safe at her foster home. The shelter had her shaved down since she was severely matted (See my before and after picture!). She is now relaxing at her foster home. More photos and info to come as she learns and feels safe. Update 1/20/26 from her foster home: She was scared for the first two days but now she is a completely different dog. She sleeps very well through the night in her crate is potty trained and already knows how to use the doggie door to go to the backyard for her business. She is good with other dogs though she doesn’t play with them much yet. She is also great with my 5-year-old son. She loves human company more than dogs for now. She plays with my son and my husband sleeps on our laps and loves belly rubs. She also seems fine when we leave her at home for a few hours. I’m feeding her home-cooked food and she loves carrots and treats. See How Happy now in the links below! Watch my video #1Watch my video #2February 9, 2026, 12:36 pm

Story
Mira was one of the 5 neglected and matted dogs that were dumped in Fremont. After vet care and shave down (she had long matted coat) she is now doing great at her foster home. She was nervous at the shelter but at her foster home she warmed up quickly and is now very lovable and playful. Mira loves to jump on the bed and cuddling. Loves attention and being petted. Eating well. She loves playing with toys walks cuddling zooming around and great with foster home's dog. Mira is a sweetie in first foster home with another dog. Another dog at home really helps her feel safe. More info. to come. Mira's REEL: https://www.facebook.com/reel/792339953879642 Update from 2nd foster home for first fh's biz trip:- She's getting more comfortable with us but weary with strangers. - Eating and now loves her food: boiled chicken beef pumpkin rice homemade stew cheese canned food with homemade food.- Not reactive around dogs in fact I think being around dogs may help her we had our neighbor come down with his small dog and they were interactive. Another dog helps her feel more safe.- She loves loves loves tummy rubs but won't cuddle on the couch or sleep in their bed yet. She chooses to sleep on a dog bed on the floor and lay by herself.- Doesn't like to be picked up yet and learning she is safe.- Not use to car rides yet.- She is very picky with her treats so we have had a hard time finding a 'high value' treat to get her to do anything yet. She does seem to respond well to verbal praise.- She's very sweet just nervous and needs time to build trust!February 1, 2026, 12:33 pm

Story
Thanks for checking out Boba! He was born on 7/10/24, which makes 1.5 human years old (a young adult in dog world). I bought this MINI shih tzu cutie online 1.5 years ago from shih tzu lovers. His petite size is a rare, and his full size weight is about 7.5 pounds. This fierce and energetic little guy (who thinks he's the King of the Castle) can't get enough love, attention, or belly rubs. Unfortunately, I'm unable to give the companionship he deserves because, unexpectedly, I had to go back to work. The biggest negative about him is only semi-potty trained. He will pee on pee pads and will poop on there too or nearby. He is smart though, so if you're super patient and a good trainer, or have a doggie door, I think you can improve this issue significantly. I can provide all of medical records to you from VCA Old River Animal Hospital and The Pet Advocate. He is due for his annual shots again, so that would need to be taken care of.

Story
Meet Ozzy 🐾 Ozzy is a thoughtful, selective pup who is looking for a patient and experienced home where he can thrive. He has a medium energy level and enjoys a balance of playtime, walks, and quiet companionship. Ozzy is dog selective and does best with slow, careful introductions to other dogs. He’s not good with cats, so a cat-free home is necessary. On leash, Ozzy can be reactive and pull, and he can get jumpy at times, but he is good with corrections and responds well to consistent, positive training. With the right guidance, patience, and structure, Ozzy will grow into a loyal, well-mannered companion for someone ready to give him the understanding and stability he needs. 🐶

Story
Meet Gustavo - a sweet, loving little boy! He is good with all people, kids, cats, and most other dogs. Gustavo really loves being around his people, so his forever home should include someone who likes to stay home or is able to take him out on adventures and errands with them. His favorite activities are chewing bones, sitting on laps, and finding small spaces to sit in. He's always looking for new comfy spots, and will get up and plop himself down several times throughout the day. Gustavo also religiously follows his people around the home, wanting to be close. With time and confidence, we expect that he will likely settle into his home and become more comfortable being further apart from his people. He also loves giving face, hand, and toe kisses, and is still learning that people don't like to play with his teeth (it's getting better every day!). He means no harm, but because of this, we'd suggest older kids would be a better fit for him. Though he does get along with many dogs outside of the home, he would do best as an only dog in the home. Gustavo is working on his leash manners, he currently zig zags a little but is starting to pick up how to walk nicely! He's potty trained (though sometimes will excited pee when he sees his people or gets hyped up) and can be left for a couple of hours at of time in a pen or crate. He likes his walks, but doesn't need much more than 30 mins at a time, though he gets bursts of zoomies at home and whizzes round to get his energy out. In between, he'll happily chill or entertain himself with chew or squeaky toys. Apply today to meet this adorable boy. He's a perfect little house or apartment dog, so easy to fall in love with!
