Story
Gus is a lap dog that prefers women over men. Very good dog apox 10 years old, was given to us by a friend that couldn't take care of him. We have had and have a doggie door. Which he has always used but lately he wants us to take him out in mornings and evenings to potty. He still uses doggie door but still likes when we walk outside with him, honestly we are to busy to walk him out 2,3 times a day. He's been around children all his life.He would love to go on walks and get lots of attention. He's a full blooded shih tzu. Just had shots a month ago.

Story
Louise is about 7 or 8 years old. We found her and another dog we named Thelma running lose and adopted them right away. Louise just needs a person to stay home and let her sit by your side. Thelma and Louise were found running together and over the last several years have been side by side. They may be better together then apart. The need to rehome this two is for their safety. We have an older dog that just recently has started to attack them. Not sure way. Louise and Thelma are best buddies.

Story
Halo is a 4 year old, 20lb Shih Tzu.  Halo was surrendered from his owners becayse she had a lot of dogs and wanted to downsize.  Halo is the cutest little boy who is missing half his jaw, so his little tongue hangs out of his mouth all the time - it might be the cutest thing ever! Halo is the cutest little man with a big personality.  Halo loves to snuggle and hang out with his foster Momma.  He gets along with other dogs and is great on a leash.  He is pretty well trained and listens well.  Halo is also a pretty stubborn little man.   For some people this big personality is hilarous and they adore everything about him, everybody who meets him laughs at him and falls in love instantly.  He loves to cuddle and hang out and go for walks/wander around the back yard.  He is a non shedding dog so he will need someone who can get him regular grooming appointments.  If you are looking for an adorable little dog, with a tongue hanging out all the time, and a big personality Halo is your man! If you are interested in adopting little Halo, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2234207##

Story
Bo is an adorable, loving, kind and well-mannered shih tzu mix. He's a little on the bigger side for a shih tzu, I think he's more lhasa apso. He came in with some medical needs and is currently in physical therapy to regain the use of his back legs. He's very mobile "skateboarding" around the house but he is wobbly on the back legs outside learning to stand again. He loves to play fetch on the grass and that's the best physical therapy, and he's doing some water therapy on a treadmill at CSU now. He really wants to be loved on, and loves wallowing on the soft blankets and he's got his own bed at floor level so he can get into it. He's already torn up a few stuffed animals...he's young and when he's energetic just like a puppy. He goes for rides in the stroller and loves car rides. At this time, any potential parents will need to do his physical therapy daily and the full extent of his back legs may or may not come back, but right now he's got some partial use and is building muscle. He's a very cool dog, we absolutely adore him. He sleeps in our bed and lays on the sofa supervised and follows me everywhere.

Story
I am Cotton and I am a 5-6 year old Shih Tzu. I am calm but a little shy and please note that I am not a kitty fan. My foster family calls me the "Pillow Princess" as my favorite place to be is on a pillow (although I do come down to the level of a common dog to sleep on the bed on occasion). The only thing better than a pillow is cuddling with my peeps. I am missing one eye and partially blind in the other so I appreciate it when people approach me slowly, letting me know they are there and helping me understand what they are going to do. I get along with other dogs, although I'm quite content as an only dog taking care of her peoples. I will do best in a quieter home without little kids since they do tend to have more sudden movements. Did I mention that I love cuddles? Please come meet me so we can find out if I am your fur-ever snuggle buddy!

Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dog  Important Information Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! My name is Cameron, and I am an adorable Shih Tzu baby boy who was born 2/25/24, and I weigh 13 pounds. I would love to have a sibling to play with and learn from.  If you have been waiting for a gorgeous Shih Tzu baby, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org.
