PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION.LIZZIE is currently in foster care in Houston, Texas and the adoption fee includes her transportation with Mighty Mutt Shipping to the north east if interested there is an application on our website https:/www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org/apply/ Sweet Lizzie is approx 5 years and 32 lbs,she is the sweetest girl but would do better as an only dog she has been treated for heartworms,had her Acl and miniscus repaired and her back left leg amputated due to an old fracture that had healed correctly and was not repairable so she can be a little testy with other dogs that are pushy and get in her face or space, she just wants to observe she loves people and loves getting lots of attention she is very quiet and well behaved and enjoys sitting outside on the patio on a big comfy bed or in a dog bed wherever her foster is , she is going to make a great companion for some lucky people THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS,WE SHIP OUR DOGS WITH MIGHTY MUTT SHIPPING TO THE NORTH EAST OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years. The total adoption fee of $400 ( and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper ,canine influenza, and microchip. Figgy aka Figs is a calm, laid back boy who is content with sitting in your lap, laying in bed with you, laying beside you...in other words, being your best friend! He prefers to have you in his sight at all times. Figs is on a strict diet of prescription food (he's a little too fluffy) and his snacks are green beans and English peas. His ideal home would include a fenced in yard where he can meander around the yard at his leisure. The only time he gets in a hurry is when it's mealtime. He loves to bark at squirrels, leaves falling off the trees, bugs, just anything that catches his attention. Grahams and his brothers were found in an abandoned lot. Their mom was caring for them before being brought into foster care. I guess who ever had them decided to throw out the whole lot. Thank goodness mom stayed around to care for them. They look to be shih tzu mixed with a terrier (course hair) and are now (4/22/24) about 3 1/2 months old. They all weigh about 8-9 pounds. The boys are neutered, up to date on shots, wormed and microchipped. They are all typical happy, social, playful puppies. Now they just need new homes to start their new lives.
