Roxanne is a sweet senior girl searching for a loving fospice home where she can spend her remaining days surrounded by comfort and affection. She has heart murmurs and is blind and mostly deaf, but none of that has diminished her desire to curl up in a warm lap and be loved. Roxanne is very gentle and gets along well with both dogs and cats. We are looking for a compassionate person or family willing to give this special girl a peaceful, comfortable home and be by her side for whatever time she has left. Adoptions are generally limited to an approximately 150-mile radius of Jonesboro, Georgia. Exceptions may be considered under certain circumstances. To apply to adopt, please complete our Preliminary Adoption Application. Submitting an application does not commit you to adopting. It allows us to determine whether the pet is a good match for your home and family. As part of the approval process, we verify the veterinary history of current and previous pets, including annual vaccinations and spay/neuter status. Please contact your veterinarian in advance and authorize them to release this information to Clayton County Humane Society. Dog adoption fees range from $250 to $400. Each dog receives: Age-appropriate vaccinations Spay or neuter surgery Heartworm testing and treatment, if necessary Deworming Flea prevention A microchip registered to the adopter You must have an approved application before scheduling a meeting with a pet. Romeo is 6 yrs old. He is very loveable and playful. He is also much smaller than that. It is his hair, lol.... Very Hairy lol... He loves SNACKS lol. He would be a great companion to someone as he has been for me. I just ask that he be taken care of and loved, like I have loved him. He is very healthy and has no health problems. He has all of his shots, he also has a microchip, which that information will be shared personally. I have reached out to local shelters, which I have put in applications, but I rather he be in a home. MOM OR DAD I AM WAITING ON YOU TO TAKE ME HOME.

Belle wasn't always Belle. We originally named her Nikki when someone abandoned this tiny 9.5-pound Shih Tzu overnight on our property... in a cat carrier. She was terrified, standing in urine, and so severely matted that it took eight hours, with two people working together, to remove the mats from her legs, belly, face, ears, and back. It was one of the worst cases of neglect we've seen in such a little dog. But they could have done far worse things than dropping her off on our property, so there's that! Once the mats were gone and she had a couple of much-needed spa days, everything changed. She began trusting people, stole all of our hearts, and officially became a Canine CellMates dog when her stray hold ended. Today, Belle is settling into Beyond The Bars beautifully. She may have started out shy, but she's already decided her handler—and a few of the other participants—are pretty wonderful. Watching her confidence grow has been such a joy. Hello, my name is Molly Olly Bodda Butt, but you can call me Molly! I am a senior female dog with a heart of gold. After spending 11 wonderful years in the same home, my life took an unexpected turn when my previous owner had to move to an assisted living facility. Now, I'm on a new journey, hoping to find a family that will love and care for me just like my previous one did. I may be a senior, but I still have a lot of love and life left in me. I am a gentle and affectionate soul, always eager to be by your side and offer you my unwavering companionship. I enjoy the simple pleasures in life, like a cozy spot to nap, a gentle ear scratch, and a tasty treat now and then. I am still adjusting to my new surroundings and getting used to all the changes, but with a little patience and understanding, I know I will thrive once again. My two feline sisters, who are 8 and 10 years old, were surrendered with me, and we are all navigating this new chapter together. We may be a bit cautious at first, but it's only because we have so much love to give and want to find our forever homes where we can feel safe and cherished again.
