Got Cheyenne from Fulton County Humane Society June 2019 (pre-Covid). She was supposed to be for daughter but attached to wife during Covid work from home. In 2023 we got an Australian labradoodle puppy for daughter and they have not co-existed well. She needs to be in a home without other dogs. She is very affectionate and can be a constant companion. She is happy to sleep at foot of bed at night and then wherever you are throughout the day. She is anxious and will wait for you to come home but can also stay by herself for long periods of time during day. She would work in an apartment or condo just as easily as a house, Would be ideal for a senior citizen in apartment. We believe that was her environment from age 0-5. She is under 20 pounds. Easy to carry if needed but also is leash trained and can walk as short or long as you like. She is on antianxiety medicine (fluoxetine) and also has to be medicated (trazadone) when she goes to groomer.

Several years ago a good samaritan in Nashville saved me, I was running down the road. She took me in for 3 years, but couldn't afford to take me to the vet. I developed skin and ear issues so she reached out for someone to take me, and here I am getting the health care I need and responding very well. Yes I'm mostly blind, but I'm a gentle fellow that enjoys being petted. I could spend the day sitting on a lap being company and enjoying a persons company. I'm quiet and I would be fine in a small home with a small fenced yard because I love to sit in the sun and snooze.

I was part of a backyard breeding operation. Once I was rescued I was so happy to be out of a tiny cage. I wasn't taken care of very well. I have been neutered, and I've had the one tooth I had in my head pulled. My bloodwork looks good. Since I lived most of my life in a cage I need some work with my potty training. If you like a Shih Tzu I'm your typical one. Loving, and independent. My coloring is dark brown and white. I know the photo's aren't that flattering, but I'm a good looking fellow.

    Hi, dog lovers, especially small ones. Dogs, not small people. Haha! Small humans are also great, although I haven’t been around many.  I’m new to Angels, so I took a few days to get my bearings. But now I’m ready to tell you about me.  I’m supposed to be some terrier-poodle mix. Foster Mom wonders if there’s some Dachshund hiding in me. I don’t know; that’s just what the humans say. I’m 4 years old and really sweet, love being loved on and a pretty good lap warmer.  I’m mostly potty trained, but really just trying to get my Foster Mom to get with my program. I like toys and especially playing fetch, but I love going outside. I can play fetch there, too, and have more room to run. The terrier in me loves to sniff stuff outside. What kind of dog are you looking for? I’m really pretty happy but still a little jumpy after my stint at the vet’s. I'm not a big fan of vets! My foster home is much more relaxing and quiet. I like to relax! I also like to bark when I hear stuff outside that might be a danger to my people or greet you when you come home so you can start paying attention to me.     Hi! I have become an Angel recently and they said I need to tell you about myself. My formal name is Stewart Suavely, but you can call me Stew unless you live in a castle, then we can stay formal.   I am about 18 months old, so still a very young guy. Some people say I am a Shih Tzu and others say I am a Terrier. Who cares, I am so handsome it makes no difference!! Inside I am calm and very sweet like a Shih Tzu, outside I like to run and hunt like a terrier. My white and black coat is long and coarse, so on the street they call me a scruffy. I weigh 14-15 pounds, so a pretty small guy.Just perfect all the way around.   I am a people dog. I have made friends with everyone I have met.They all think I am great! I am living with 3 small dogs and have made friends with them. We even play some and that is tons of fun. I have met some larger dogs and they seem fine too. I would probably chase a cat if it ran. I love going out in the yard and exploring. A fenced yard is very important to me. I also love leash walks, but you can't really hunt on walks! I am not a fan of rain, but if things have to be done in the rain, I will go out.    Foster Mom says I am a velcro dog. I love sitting next to her and making sure we are touching. I also make sure I know her exact location at all times so I follow her everywhere she goes. She might need me! I am sleeping quietly in a crate at night, but if any one wants a bed buddy, I am up for that too.   This place is nice, but I really want my own family and home. Please get in touch if you want a new buddy.   Love to all! Dunkin born 12/17/23. A very sweet boy. He is a nice mix of calm and playful. He loves to sit on your lap. Playful but not hyper. He gets along well with everyone including children. Adoption fee is 950.00. Located in the south. Needs work on training.   Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited.
