Roxanne is a sweet senior girl searching for a loving fospice home where she can spend her remaining days surrounded by comfort and affection. She has heart murmurs and is blind and mostly deaf, but none of that has diminished her desire to curl up in a warm lap and be loved. Roxanne is very gentle and gets along well with both dogs and cats. We are looking for a compassionate person or family willing to give this special girl a peaceful, comfortable home and be by her side for whatever time she has left. Adoptions are generally limited to an approximately 150-mile radius of Jonesboro, Georgia. Exceptions may be considered under certain circumstances. Story

🐾 Meet Gizmo! 🐾 Gizmo is a sweet and loving 12-year-old Shih Tzu with a wonderful personality. He’s very family-friendly, loves being around people, and gets along great with other dogs. ❤️ Gizmo enjoys going outside to play and explore, but he’s just as happy spending the day relaxing and lounging around with you. He’s the perfect mix of playful and laid-back! Gizmo does have only one eye due to a previous eye issue, but don’t let that fool you—he’s still full of life, love, and personality! It certainly hasn’t stopped him from enjoying himself or being the lovable little guy he’s always been. He’s a sweet senior pup who would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for an affectionate, easygoing dog to love. 🐶❤️

Story

Demi came to us at a time when things were relatively calm and I was primarily working from home. There were no sick parents to tend to then and her pawrents had plenty of time to spend with her. She’s now four years old and life has happened. I have two sick parents and have been on a return to work order for more than a year. I hate that she’s home alone so much while we are out working or taking care of ailing parents. Ideally, she would be in a home with a family that has the capacity and time to spend with her. A family that is fiercely overprotective and extremely cautious with her.I should note that I am only willing to adopt locally. No travel to other states.

Story

Meet Munchkin! She is an adorable 1-year-old Shih Tzu! She weighs a little over 8 pounds. Munchkin came to us after being found as a stray and never being reclaimed. Munchkin is a curious, sweet little girl. She warmed up quickly in her foster home, and enjoys all of the adults and teenagers she has met so far. Munchkin is the perfect combination of playful and snuggly. She loves to play fetch, but prefers to break it up into a few shorter sessions each day. In between rounds of fetch, she is happy to follow her person around, or curl up and nap (preferably with a fuzzy blanket). Munchkin could be an only dog, but would also be thrilled to have one or more playful dog siblings in her forever home. Munchkin is fascinated by birds, and likes to spend time outside watching them. She would be a great companion for neighborhood walks. More than anything, this little girl just wants a home where she can be with her people as they move about their day. If you’re looking for an adorable little companion, Munchkin might just be your girl! 💕 ********** Munchkin will come to you already spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Shih Tzu

Story

Meet Annatto, a loving Shih Tzu mix who is 12+ years old and weighs 8 pounds! Annatto came to us after being found neglected and entering a local shelter scared, matted, in dire need of a dental, with severely irritated skin, and in need of some much-needed TLC. With regular medicated baths (thanks to his wonderful foster family) his skin has improved and he is feeling much better! Anatto is looking for a quiet, comfortable place to spend his golden years. He is a pretty independent little guy. He loves having his own cozy space where he can nap and relax, but he also enjoys climbing into his person’s lap when he’s in the mood for some extra love. He gets so excited when his foster mom comes home, and his adorable little “puppy” face makes it pretty impossible not to smile and fall in love. ❤️ His vision is slightly limited, and we believe he may be blind in one eye, which also seems to contribute to his little head tilt. Despite that, he adjusted very quickly to his foster home and gets around just fine. He can be a little hesitant about going outside after dark, so his ideal home will have a safe, well-lit area for nighttime potty trips. Annatto is truly just a sweet old soul who deserves to spend the rest of his life feeling safe, comfortable, and loved. 🩵🐾 ******************** Annatto is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and just had a dental!
