Dash is a sweet, friendly, and very energetic boy. Dash loves all people - family and strangers. He loves to be held and enjoys sitting in laps. He will give kisses and loves to get kisses and lots of petting. He wants to be the center of your attention and will let you know that by jumping in the air or nudging at your feet. He gets extremely excited when he sees you and wants to be held right away to give you all his love. He ideally needs an active family as he has high energy and needs to be walked several times a day or have a large backyard to run. He walks well on a leash until he has done his business, then he wants to rush back home or be carried. He loves toys and is super intelligent. He does well with puzzle toys, but he is a chewer so he will need durable toys like Tuffy's. He is not a big barker but will bark if other dogs bark, something catches his eye, or when he is distressed. He loves treats and will sit pretty to receive them. He loves car rides and is well behaved when in public, although he would prefer to be carried, rather than on a leash. He is crate trained and does sleep well through the night (about 8-9 hours). He would do best with a dog that can match his energy or as an only dog. He is amazingly sweet and adorable and has a lot of love to share.  Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150-mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at https://streetpaws.org/adopting/dog-puppy-pre-adoption-application/. This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. Our adoption fee is $300. They have been given age-appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary, dewormed, have received flea prevention, and are micro-chipped. We will ensure the microchip is registered. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet. Several years ago a good Samaritan in Nashville saved me, I was running down the road. She took me in for 3 years, but couldn't afford to take me to the vet. I developed skin and ear issues so she reached out for someone to take me, and here I am getting the health care I need and responding very well. Yes I'm mostly blind, but I'm a gentle fellow that enjoys being petted. I could spend the day sitting on a lap being company and enjoying a persons company. I'm quiet so I would be fine in a small home with a small fenced yard. I do love to sit in the sun and snooze.

Jetson is an adorable shih tzu mix, born 7-19-17, weighing 25lbs. This little man is dog, cat, and kid friendly! He is working on his house and crate training and enjoys hanging in his play pen. He walks great on leash, stopping to smell everything! He would be a wonderful match for someone that enjoys slow paced strolls. Jetson is low energy and when he is not laying in your lap, he is laying outside in the sunshine! He has great manners with his food, loves to ride in the car, and is just an all-around lovebug! Due to his blindness he would need to be in a single-story home. He is comfortable being out on his pillow and you can put up a baby gate. He doesn&#39t love being in a crate. He does need a fenced in yard as he is not a big walker and loves laying in the sun. He is very smart and is a sweet dog. He will learn his new home quickly even without eyes.     Hi, I'm Jeffie Bunny and I'm looking for a very special family because I'm a very special dog. I'm a 3 year old, male Shih Tzu, weighing in at just 16 pounds. I'm partially blind, but I'm really smart, so I've figured out how to get down the steps to the backyard to go potty at my foster's house. I would love a home with another dog who can be my seeing eye dog, but I'm not as fond of cats. I'm looking for a home with a fenced in yard, someone home most of the day and only adults and older children. Because I can't see well, I can be startled when out on walks or by little kids.   I enjoy exercising, but I also know how to relax.
