Hazel is will be 7 years old on Oct. 22 but still has the heart of a puppy. Extremely affectionate. She’s gets a vocal around strangers but if you show her a leash and collar she’ll happily go out on a walk and warm up to you. She loves her pup cookies and will lay with you all day. Not a super active girl but could be. She originally was my Grand’s dog but he’s unable to care for her due to health reasons.

Meet Doobie! Doobie is a distinguished gentleman looking for the perfect retirement home! He's a 10ish yr old guy who loves chilling on the sofa or out in the yard. Doobie gets along great with other dogs but he's also pretty independent so wouldn't mind being an only fur child. He wants nothing more than a calm, quiet place to enjoy his Golden Years and would be a great companion for a retired person looking for some help in the garden. Doobie is a homebody though - leash walks and car rides just aren't his cup of tea - so he will do best in a home with a fenced yard and won't at all mind chilling out at home while you run your errands Interested in adopting? Several years ago a good samaritan in Nashville saved me, I was running down the road. She took me in for 3 years, but couldn't afford to take me to the vet. I developed skin and ear issues so she reached out for someone to take me, and here I am getting the health care I need and responding very well. Yes I'm mostly blind, but I'm a gentle fellow that enjoys being petted. I could spend the day sitting on a lap being company and enjoying a persons company. I'm quiet and I would be fine in a small home with a small fenced yard because I love to sit in the sun and snooze.

I came from a backyard breeder in Cartersville. They didn’t want me any more so Act2Pups stepped up and rescued me. I was just a number, I didn’t have a name. I hadn’t been to see a vet and was totally confused to be out of a wire cage. I was allowed to decompress and in a week I was coming out of my shell. All my teeth were rotten so I had them all removed, but I do fine eating wet food. I’ve come a long way and I’m doing great. I’m a sweet gentle fellow that needs a home that will understand what my life was like for so many years.

It appears that I spent a great deal of time on my own. When I was rescued I had mats on my mats and it took hours to clean me up. My photos are now, and a before and after grooming shortly after rescue. I can tell you that I NEVER WANT TO BE NEGLECTED AGAIN, grooming was so painful I screamed. I’m fine with other rescue pups and I’m getting better every day. I hope to be someone's princess soon.
