Story
I’ve had my sweet girl since she was a puppy, she just turned 6 years old this August. Rehoming her is one of the hardest decisions Ive ever had to make, but I want to make sure she ends up in a loving home where she can continue to thrive and be deeply cared for. She is a beautiful, loyal, and gentle companion. I would describe her as affectionate, calm, protective when needed, and very in tune with emotions. She loves to relax nearby, go for walks, and enjoys belly rubs or laying in the sun. Im looking for a home where she will be loved like family, ideally with someone who understands dogs, can provide her stability, and will treat her with kindness and patience. She deserves someone who will give her time, space, and affection. If you are the right fit, you will gain a truly special companion.

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. Hi, I'm Oscar! Quiet home. Adult humans. One or two favorite people — that’s my dream. I need a little time to trust and I’m not into being picked up by strangers, but once you’re my person? I’m a cuddle guy and will choose you every time. I prefer calm spaces, no little kids, and people who respect my boundaries over food and toys. I lost my home when my owner lost her apartment — kinda bad luck since trust is hard for me. I’d be an amazing companion for someone retired or living a peaceful life who wants a loyal, deeply bonded best friend. Patient hearts only please — but, I’m worth it.  Age: 5 years Weight:  18 lbs Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, patient adults, no small kids  Training: Housetrained, crate-trained, has basic training Vetting: Neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative __ To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application ( www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption ) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees. December 17, 2025, 4:37 pm

ElliotShih tzuMaleDOB:12/30/22Adoption Fee: $300Meet Elliot he is a sweet and spunky boy, He loves to play and receive lots of cuddles. He's honestly perfect for any home. Although he is heartworm positive but don't worry we're covering his treatment so he can still be adopted! But a home that's able to keep him calm would be best. Elliot is good with other dogs and enjoys his play time. He walks great on a leash and is really an all around good boy. So what are you waiting for and go ahead and claim this sweet boy! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line.
