Story
Hello yawl, I am Susanna Mae. I am a 7-and-a-half-year-old Shih Tzu mix. I have been with  my foster Brian for about 7 months. When I first came to Street Paws I was very shy and unsure of what to think of my foster parents house. I seem to adapt pretty well and become very comfortable in my environment. I currently have 3 foster brothers and a sister. Even though I am tiny I can still handle my own with two dogs and a cat in the house. I have hypo thyroid and urinary crystals so I need lifelong medication and prescription CD dry dog food.  Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150-mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at  https://form.jotform.com/232355976148163 The application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. Our adoption fee is $300 They have been given age-appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary, dewormed, have received flea prevention, and are micro-chipped. We will ensure the microchip is registered. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet.May 4, 2024, 1:01 pm

BerryShih Tzu/PomeranianMaleDOB: 2/01/20Adoption Fee: $200Just look at this adorable little man. He's a fluff of fun and happiness! He greatly loves his toys and will always take the favorite of the day on his walks! No exceptions! He'll share it with you if you ask him to drop it, but don't try to steal it! He enjoys car rides and sits very well on a ride. Does not do well with cats, dogs or children. Come meet this handsome, delightful guy! Take him on a walk, a doggie day out, and home!!!Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice. Story
Luckys mom died. I am no longer able to care for Lucky because I care for my 88-year-old mother-in-law who has fallen twice. Lucky is 13 years old .He is very sweet and calm. He is house trained. He is lovable. He was in an accident when he was younger and lost an eye. Lucky gets a long well with other dogs. I love him and want to keep him but I am not able. My mother-in-law ended up in the hospital last time she tripped over him. I need help soon

Story
Hi, dog lovers, especially small ones. Dogs, not small people. Haha! Small humans are also great, although I haven’t been around many.  I’m new to Angels, so I took a few days to get my bearings. But now I’m ready to tell you about me.  I’m supposed to be some terrier-poodle mix. Foster Mom wonders if there’s some Dachshund hiding in me. I don’t know; that’s just what the humans say. I’m 4 years old and really sweet, love being loved on and a pretty good lap warmer.  I’m mostly potty trained, but really just trying to get my Foster Mom to get with my program. I like toys and especially playing fetch, but I love going outside. I can play fetch there, too, and have more room to run. The terrier in me loves to sniff stuff outside. What kind of dog are you looking for? I’m really pretty happy but still a little jumpy after my stint at the vet’s. I'm not a big fan of vets! My foster home is much more relaxing and quiet. I like to relax! I also like to bark when I hear stuff outside that might be a danger to my people or greet you when you come home so you can start paying attention to me. Foster Mom says condominiums and apartments might not be the best for me.  So, if you think I’m your kind of guy, you need to apply for me. The Angel people will do the rest. I hope to see you soon!      An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          May 6, 2024, 7:27 pm
