**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Patrick — a lovable little Shih Tzu with the sweetest personality and the cutest face to match! At around 3 years old and 14 pounds, Patrick is the perfect small companion with a huge heart full of love to give. Patrick absolutely adores toys and has the most precious routine — every day, he proudly picks out a toy and carries it back to his bed like it’s his greatest treasure. It’s impossible not to smile watching him enjoy the simple things in life! Whether he’s tossing toys around, relaxing in his cozy spot, or soaking up attention from his people, Patrick is happiest when he’s surrounded by love. This handsome boy is also making wonderful progress with his house and crate training and is doing very well. He walks nicely on a leash, making him a great buddy for neighborhood strolls or outdoor adventures. Patrick is friendly with other dogs and loves meeting new people, always greeting everyone with his gentle and affectionate nature. Patrick is the kind of dog who will quickly become the heart of the home. He’s sweet, cuddly, playful, and incredibly easy to love. If you’re looking for a loyal little best friend who will keep you smiling every day, Patrick may just be your perfect match! Interested in becoming a forever home for Patrick? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ/OR, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

What my friends at OHS say about me:I'm a petite lady but pack a ton of personality into this small package! All this change in my life has been really tough on me, I can't help but be cautious and worried. I'm longing for an understanding person, with a warm bed, treats and the willingness to give me time and space to settle in- could that be you?Are you an introvert? Me too! Hanging out at home and in the company of my few favorite people will be ideal for me, as novelty can be worrisome.Despite my small, portable size, I am often sensitive to being fussed over and held.I have lived with other dogs in my last home.Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.I have chronic skin issues which will require long term management. It can be caused by different factors such as fleas, food or environmental factors.I have been diagnosed with dental disease which means I may need dental cleanings or extractions in the future.I have been diagnosed with chronic dry eye (KCS), which will require long-term medical management. The type of home I'm looking for:I need to go to an adult only home.I am not for the first time dog owner. Story
Diggie looks like someone shrunk Chewbacca down into an 11 lb bestie with tiny paws and a perfect button nose. Freshly groomed he is adorable, but when that scruffy grey coat grows out? Full rescue-muppet magic! Estimated to be about 4 years old, Diggie is a Shih Tzu mix with a playful side, a sensitive heart, and a very strong attachment to his people. Rescue rules apply, so breed and age are our best guess. Go watch Diggie Doodlebug on YouTube then come right back to read more about this shaggy little sweetheart. https://youtu.be/4uY3QypwIAY Diggie is currently fostered in a loving home where his foster describes him as playful, lovable, extremely smart, and full of personality once comfortable. He loves toys, enjoys digging dramatically through dog beds, and bonds deeply with his people. He especially loves kids and would truly thrive in a home with children. He also lives with cats successfully and can do well with calm, easygoing dogs after slow introductions. Once comfortable he is a bouncy, playful boy. The day we met Diggie he was in an unfamiliar environment with a heap of new people, not ideal for his sensitive nature but even while stressed he remained incredibly soft-tempered and never once reacted roughly. Once he trusts someone, though, his foster shares that he can handle a busy lifestyle and genuinely enjoys going places with her. Diggie is not currently leash trained but continues to practice with his foster, so a home with a secure yard would make life much easier for him while he continues building up his leash confidence. Crates are also stressful for him and his foster does not currently use one but shares that he is trustworthy in the home and has not been a necessity. This little guy is not an instant “life of the party” dog. He is a relationship-first dog. But for someone willing to let him settle in at his own pace, there is a really funny, loving, toy-obsessed little companion underneath that fluffy grey fur. Ready to welcome Diggie home? Story
We believe Bentley is a Shih Tzu mix, weighing around 13 pounds. He’s an easy size to travel with and include in daily life. He may be little, but he’s packed with lots personality and charm. As with any rescue, breed is always our best guess, but his wonderfully portable size is one thing we know for sure. Bentley is a small, sweet pup. He’s the kind of dog who thrives in a calm, understanding environment where he’s given the space to beat to his own drum! Once he trusts you, he’ll come in close for cuddles, let you scoop him up, and even show off his super‑cute zoomies! He’s not the kind of pup who’s ready for chaos, but he is ready for love from someone who understands what it means to earn a dog’s trust. His perfect match? A patient, experienced home with someone who understands small dogs and is willing to give him the time, grace, and consistency he needs. He doesn’t need much: just a safe space, a gentle touch, and a kind heart willing to walk slowly with him toward a brighter future. While Bently's energy level is more homebody chic than marathon runner, he is great on the leash and enjoys a good walk. Having a doggie sibling would be wonderful for him, but he could also thrive as a solo dog soaking up all the love and attention for himself. Bentley has also met a cat and is currently considered cat tolerant. Because of his interest level, a kitty sleepover would be the best way to get a fully defined answer. If you believe that the best relationships are built on trust, Bentley might just be your little soulmate. Fall in love with Bentley here: https://youtu.be/RxXaQj6cA8Q Bentley would be a wonderful companion for a singleton or older adult looking for a loyal, affectionate friend. He would love life in a house or an apartment, provided that tons of treats and lots of snuggles are involved! Adopt this spirited boy today—he’s ready to find her forever home! Currently in foster care and waiting for his perfect match. Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/697fed9ff5202b9b8405ae3b Any questions? Story
Gray Hoverfluff looks like the kind of dog someone dreamed up after saying, “what if we made the world’s cutest little gentleman?” Everything about him feels unfairly adorable. The fluffy scruff, the tiny beard, the soft soulful eyes that look like they hold centuries of wisdom and at least three love songs. He has this cozy, comforting presence about him that makes people instantly melt, like he was specifically designed to be carried around, cuddled nonstop, and treated like royalty. And once his shy little personality starts to peek through? Forget it. Between the tiny play bows, the sweet gentle affection, and the way he quietly sticks close to his people, Gray has that rare kind of charm that sneaks up on you fast and suddenly has you wondering how you ever lived without a tiny bearded sidekick following you around the house. Watch his video and fall in love with this cutie: https://youtu.be/xsF8_wAWoKc?si=fOnreeAWgqX_Wi2t Gray Hoverfluff is believed to be a Shih Tzu mix approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 11 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Gray is a bit shy at first when meeting new people, in new environments and may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, he’s all about affection and spoiling you with his gentle love. He truly shines as a lap dog and is happiest curled up close to his person, soaking in love and giving it right back. His energy level is beautifully balanced, not too busy and not too sleepy. Just the right amount of energy, the kind of pup who fits perfectly into your routine. He enjoys getting out for walks (and walks nicely on a leash!) but is just as content relaxing at home snuggled up next you on the couch binge watching your favorite show or movie. He’s dog-friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced him to. He has met dogs his size and smaller and has also been around dogs twice his size! No matter the size, Gray has shown to be a polite gentle gentleman when he meets a dog on leash and shows that same level of gentleness when meeting dogs off leash. From what we have observed so far, he hasn’t been a super playful boy for the most part and though he may develop a playful side to him with other dogs after some time in his forever home. He did seem to open up more around If you don’t have other dogs, that’s fine by Gray too! He does not need the company of another dog to satisfy his energy needs or a pal to help him feel comfortable. He is a chill fella that doesn’t need a whole lot of exercise and he will naturally need some time to acclimate to his new surroundings. Gray also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also seem to feel comfortable around him as well. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for Gray to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Gray has the kind of easygoing personality that allows him to thrive in many living situations. He would do very well in an apartment or condo setting, especially with someone who enjoys daily walks and a relaxed routine. His well-balanced energy level and polite leash manners make him a great neighbor-friendly companion. He would also be perfectly happy in a suburban home with a backyard, where he could enjoy sniffing around, sunbathing, and lounging after his walks. While he’d appreciate outdoor access, he doesn’t rely on a yard to be fulfilled; his happiness comes from companionship, not square footage. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who bonds deeply, loves cuddles, and brings a steady, comforting presence into your life, Gray may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. We are willing to test Gray Hoverfluff with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
