Story
If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Maggie. When I was first adopted, I was a puppy mill pup. I went to a quiet home with 2 adults. Overtime, more people moved into my home including 4 young children. I was not ready to live with children, and they scared me so my former owner asked CSAC to help find me a new home. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Story
Meet Tucker – the sweetest senior gentleman around! Tucker is a 14-year-old sweetheart who’s ready to spend his golden years surrounded by love. This gentle old soul is friendly with everyone he meets — dogs, cats, kids — you name it! He’s perfectly housebroken and has the calm, easygoing nature that only comes with age and wisdom. Tucker’s previous owner loved him dearly but could no longer care for him, so now he’s hoping to find a forever home to cherish him through his senior days. He’s a total lovebug who enjoys being near his people, soaking up attention, and sharing quiet moments together. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your days with warmth and affection, Tucker is your guy. ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Story
We added Snickers to our family when he was 3 months old in 2010. He has lived with a cat for 13 years with no issues. He has lived with men and women of all ages including infants and children. As he gets older (he is now 15 years old) he requires a little more attention than we are able to provide lately. He has slight vision impairment and hearing loss. He is still able to climb up and down steps and eats all of his dry food with no problem! He does not like being picked up due to an injury sustained when he was a puppy. He loves running around and exploring a fenced in space and also lounging around and napping during the day.

Story
ZOE! - Saved from neglect, this little angel is deserving of a loving furever home! Zoe's been through a lot in her 8 yrs - She hadn't been groomed for years (her makeover transformed her!), and lost an ear due to a rubber band that was used instead of grooming. And she is Blind! Despite being terrified and in pain during her recovery she has shown her resilience while with her foster. She eats and drinks well and has been using pee pads she goes over to in her pen (she still is nervous outside in a leash). Due to being Blind a calmer household is best for her. She should be in a single family home because she is a barker due to the lack of eyesight, it is her defense mechanism. Zoe is spayed, vaccinated, had flea prevention and dewormer. Other than being blind and her ear still on the mend (though she is finished with medicine), this 7.4 pound lady was determined to be healthy by a vet, so is now ready to settle in a safe loving furever home. If interested in Zoe put in an application to The Furry Paws Inn today!Zoe must go to a home in the state of Maryland. about 1.5 hrs from Joppa or less.
