He is 15 months old and a bundle of energy. He is quite a lover and gets along well with dogs and I believe cats altho can be a bit of a pest. He has been housetrained (here). I think he loves having another dog to play with and it keeps him social. He travels well and is crate trained but sometimes can be vocal so no apartment living for him. Because of his energy we are requesting a fenced yard. He does require grooming every 6-8 weeks. His adoption fee is $350. The dogs are Spayed or Neutered, Heartworm/Lyme tested, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and overall Vet checked. Jules is a very sweet, loving and playful dog. She loves to have her ball thrown and also loves to sit next to you and snooze. She loves being outside, but being a Shih Tzu she can overheat quickly. She has done well with both dogs and cats in the home. She has only been around an older child (13 year old). She is skittish around men, but does come around. She is housebroken as long as you keep up on her cues. She is very food motivated. She needs another dog in the house as she loves to have a companion and a playmate. She would also benefit from someone is home most of the time. She attaches to females as she is skittish around males, so having a female at home most of the time would be best.

Hi Hope, This sweetheart is an approx. 5 year old Shih Tzu. She and few other dogs were surrendered to us from a commercial breeder in Lancaster when they no longer wanted to breed them. Hope is about 11 lbs. Hope came to us very nervous and timid, but that is no surprise considering her prior life. Despite that, she allows us all handling and is slowly getting used to all her volunteers and new life. We can see the sweet and loving dog hiding just underneath that scared exterior. She would like a more quiet home with another social and friendly dog that can help her with the transition. She would need to meet any resident dogs. She will come with vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and 4dx tested. She is also scheduled for a dental evaluation and will receive the dental as the vet deems necessary.
