“In Ocala Florida “ This little guy is fantastic however can only be placed in a home with no other animals! Chewy has had quite the life already and he is only 5 or 6ish we think? My husband found him 4 years ago on the side of the road dragging his body to drink from a puddle, his hair was so long & matted he wasn’t sure he was even a dog. After many operations, TLC & time he became my husband best friend until me & my 90lbs chocolate Lab showed up. He is house trained/ pee pads when he is in the right environment ShiTzu can be very stubborn. He loves nothing more then softly chewing on your fingers ( hence the name) , looking out the window & barking at other dogs, he pulls on the leash but if you have a backyard its hilarious to see him running around. So in a nutshell if you are looking for a adorable, diva dog with tunnel vision for you alone and you are willing to put in the work, he will be the love of your life!

Laid back and easy going , Callie is a real sweetheart! Callie was brought to a shelter as a stray before COALDR was able to pull her and get her with a foster. She’s estimated to be about 10 years old. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped & on preventative. She also had a dental recently. Callie is also completely blind but she quickly orients herself to her surroundings and navigates the house as well as her foster siblings. Callie is very food motivated. Foster mom finds it easier to feed her separately so she doesn’t try to eat every one else’s dinner too and given the chance she will get into the garbage or anything left within reach Callie is mostly housebroken if taken out frequently. She is excellent about standing still for her harness and walks beautifully on leash. She will use pee pads in the house but occasionally “marks”…hopefully this will resolve itself now that she’s been spayed She may be classified as a “senior” but she has a youthful, playful spirit and enjoys her squeaky toys Callie is located in Wheelersburg, Ohio All around Callie is a great pup! This pup is 7.5 years old and has a lot of love to give. We wouldn't say he's not good with kids because that would be super unfair to Plagueis, but his patience with our growing family has run thin, and he, fairly, becomes agitated when inside with our toddlers. Plagueis expresses his disdain for lack of attention and sharing his space with a mountain of paw patrol toys by being a bit of a recluse, which isn't his typical personality. We're looking for a happy home for Plagueis- this decision doesn't come lightly, but we don't think it's fair to continue to present him with a situation that he's uncomfortable in and that we surely can't resolve.

My name is Princess Mimi and I am a precious 10 lb, 7-year-old, purebred Shih Tzu girl that was saved from a shelter in Florida. It seems that my mom died and her family did not want me so they just took me to the shelter and left me there. I was so confused along with being heartbroken over losing my mom. A very kind rescue lady who was in the Florida area visiting with her sick dad, saw that I was in this shelter and came to get me. A shelter is no place for a princess as you know. I was terrified. But I'm now on my way back to Tennessee where they will fully vet me and spay me. I am a very healthy girl and the only thing I need in life besides lots of love and your commitment for the rest of my life, is just a little medication for my dry eyes.  I am potty trained and can work on real housebreaking to go outside if needed. I would need you to be consistent with me on that since my former mom just put down pee pads and I was happy to use those. I would love to go for long walks everyday and would love to sit on your lap and look at you with all the love I have in my heart. Story
Hi my name is Rowdy!  I am a 5 year old shih tzu who weighs 17 lbs  I am not sure why my name is Rowdy because I am not really a rowdy pup except when I am at the groomer.  Thought I better get that out of the way first.  That is my LEAST favorite thing in the world.  For a guy with long hair I really did not need that personality trait but sadly that is me.  I try really hard but unfortunately it is just too scary for me.  I require a 'little' shot in order to be endure this.  On the other hand when I am back to my handsome self, I am a sweet and confident young man.  I love other dogs, am OK with cats and good with people.  No young children though.  I definitely prefer adults.  I was surrendered to Critter Cavalry with my 2 sisters when our family could no longer take care of us.  I was a little scared and withdrawn at first but once I settled in I realized what is was like to be taken proper care of and to be loved for who I am.  I am a good boy.  I love to play and get along well with everyone in my foster home.  I walk OK on a leash and ride great in the car.  I am housebrokn, doggie door and crate trained.  I have been neutered and am current on all my shots, on monthly preventative and microchipped.  I am ready for my forever home.  I hope that will be with you.  To be considered for my forever family and to request an application, please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (I am currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)September 11, 2024, 11:39 am
