DOB 4-30-2025 DeChen is looking for his new home and Mom! He's a beautiful Shih Tzu with a good personality, loves to play and gets along with others. DeChen is complete on all medical, up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative and has received a ProHeart6 preventative injection. This boy will come with all his registration and medical papers. His adoption fee is 900.00, his transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, they are the best and deliver to East Coast every other week. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

This sweet girl came to us as a voluntary surrender after being hit by a car. Her family couldn’t afford the emergency care she needed, and Nutmeg arrived with her right eye out of its socket. Thanks to immediate medical attention and her own incredible spirit, she’s recovered beautifully and hasn’t let her past dim her joyful personality. Nutmeg is energetic, affectionate, and loves giving kisses. She’s friendly with dogs of all sizes and absolutely adores people. She’s a zoomie enthusiast and a fun companion for anyone looking for a lively, loving little dog. She’s crate trained, walks wonderfully on a leash, and is ready for new adventures with a family of her own. We will be cat-testing her this week to learn more about how she feels about feline friends. Kobe is a super loving and adorable 2 year old Shih Tzu who I took in after my cousin could no longer have him in her apartment. Since having Kobe, I have gotten him groomed regularly, neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated (next dose of vaccines due 5/24/26, including Rabies and half dose of Lyme and Lepto which is overdue). As much as I love Kobe and don’t want to re-home him, my professions as a teacher and EMT does not allow me to provide the time attention he needs. My hopes is he finds a home that provides him with more quality time.

I am good with other dogs and people. My foster mom does not know about cats though! I do need another young dog to live and play with.
