Story
Shepp is a very, very happy-go-lucky boy. The vet guestimated him to be about 4yr old, but he acts much, much younger, more like a 1 yr old pup, Shepp came to one of PAWS New England's southern foster partners from the streets of Houston. He was a matted mess, and his foster couldn't even tell what kind of dog he was. He also was heartworm positive. He has finished his heartworm treatment and is now ready to find his new family. He is a high-energy dog. He loves all dogs, cats, and people. He is crate trained and did well on house training until he started the steroids. He completed his heartworm treatment with flying colors. Now he is looking for an active family that will enjoy his energy level. He does ""OK"" on a leash but will need more work. He needs manners and works on his mouthing. He is quite mouthy. He doesn't bite at all but does mouth you. So we are saying no small kids for this boy.Shepp will do great in almost any family who is willing to continue his training and provide the love and attention he deserves. He will return that love tenfold!Name: SheppBreed: Shih Tzu/PoodleSex: MaleAge: 4 years (estimated)Weight: 13lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Positive - Has completed treatment.Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: YesAdoption Fee: $500.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently: Texarkana Tx IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.
